Tuesday June 04 2013
The cold is killing me. This weather for two isn’t “werking” for me at the moment. I got drenched last night before I reached home. My sweet skinny frame is graciously built with very little subcutaneous fat, I’m at a loss at cushioning my body against cold. My body just absorbs cold easily like it gets paid a fortune to do so. I did my rituals and was gradually getting ready for work when my instinct asked me to go out.

I saw a workman fumigating the passage. That must be Tony my landlord doing this household fumigation. Note that my landlord is a bona fide tenant in the compound, he only sublet the back part of his flat. The workman went downstairs and was fumigating odd places where mosquitoes are prone, also they are places Tony would never touch before. I called the guy, it seems like you are fumigating the whole compound today. Why don’t you fumigate my room specially? Dude asked me to pay N1000. I'm like seriously? I know this is his side money. We haggled down like men to N500. The man came back upstairs to my room with his tools. It was pay-before-service before he did anything.

I hadn’t taken my birth then, bad mistake. Well I didn't have a choice or something. The toxic fume took over as expected. I felt a bit woozy and headache. I hurriedly dressed and left the toxic room. The toxic fume smell was all over me. It even over powered my cologne. I continued to feel light-headed. I got to work late. Meanwhile my boss called and sent a text when I was taking my bath which I didn’t reply until I boarded a bus to the office. He noticed the smell of toxic fume on me. That proved beyond reasonable and unreasonable doubt that I wasn’t lying. I paid for the tickets I booked yesterday. Put some money in my account. I got some food but still unable to do the police errand for Victory. Mehn, at the rate things are going will I ever have the opportunity to do it for him? I wonder. He called to let him know.

My instinct told me that Amara will come to the house to cook this evening and I need to warn her about the toxic fumes. If I let her know before hand, then she can be extra careful when preparing food in that environment. I had another thought, I shouldn’t bother with that definitely she’ll smell the notorious toxic fumes or see telltale sign of it. Yahya is back in town. He went to Beirut for a surgical operation on his leg. Imagine going to the gym to stay fit and coming with a shattered leg, it was a terrible accident. His right foot was bandaged up. Ifeanyi didn’t show up. Yesterday he just breezed in to say hi and breezed out.

My boss divided the PPM and worked on it while I worked on the presentation. The presentation is being modified almost every day to, he is not satisfied yet. Plus there are some really difficult to sought data that needs to go into the presentation. Lately I’ve been making remarkable progress on the thing. I need to call my father. I haven’t spoken to him in a while now. I put some post on my blog. We toiled until after seven o’clock before I went home.

I stopped briefly at Igbo Efon to see Caesar and Doc. I told Caesar the latest in accommodation palaver and he reiterated his resolve never to shelter anyone again in his one room self-contain unless it’s a bigger apartment with many rooms. He has gotten burnt a couple of times doing that.

I Need A Mental Fumigation To Rid My Mind Of Rodent And Pest Thoughts So I Can Have A Healthy Focus.

The toxic fume still hovered faintly in the room. My instinct was proved right once again when I got home. Amara indeed came around and she cooked jollof rice. My portion was in the pot as usual. I didn’t eat. I didn’t quite feel hungry. I went to straight to bed

Accidental Household Fumigation. I'll Try Mental Fumigation

If I Had A Car, This Rain Wouldn't Have Drenched Me!
Monday June 03 2013
Sleep wouldn't let me learn last night, I retaliated by waking early around 4:00am. I didn't let it pin me down on the bed. I soaked some clothes around 4:30am. I did a couple things on the laptop, a few changes here and there to my write-up. Truth is, if you read it a thousand times, you are likely to see a thousand things to modify. I need to keep this up, I mean to keep writing and modifying. At around 6:00am I washed the clothes I soaked. I warmed the remaining rice in the microwave.

I read my Open Heavens and prayed. Now my spiritual preparation for today’s hustle is complete. I got ready for work and left. MD was already in the office. I uploaded a lot of post on my blog today. I would’ve brought it up to date except for some vital missing pictures. Elsie told me in the morning that she was going to disturb me with text messages today and asked if I was up for it. With my game face on I said GAME ON. Apparently she wasn’t kidding. My phone buzzed and kept buzzing nonstop. Our text messages kept flying back and forth like a car windscreen wiper during a heavy rain.

Here comes the bank runs. Today is payday. I did all the necessary outside of office tasks. I couldn’t get to Ikoyi Police Station for Victory’s report. I can’t help it. I didn’t get the chance to do it. Back at the office I booked some tickets, one from Owerri to Lagos for Ugo’s mother, the other from Lagos to Abuja for Ugo. I spent the rest of the day looking for certain agricultural statistics on Nigeria. We are still not efficient and meticulous with data storage. It’s difficult to get access to this detailed sort of data that I’m looking for especially online. I easily see such data for other countries. Let’s call it a day here guys.

If I Had A Car, This Rain Wouldn't Have Drenched Me!
Thats not me lol. Just love the picture
Just as I stepped out the office the heavens started watering the earth. What did I do to deserve this? I got drenched. I got drenched. I prefer the cold weather to the hot one anyway. The only problem is the flood and how wet and irritating the environment gets every time it rains. I didn’t make any stopovers, I just went straight home. I was pissed, pissed that the sky peed on me.

If wishes were horses, a beggar would ride. I wish I had an umbrella with me, I wouldn’t have been drenched. You wouldn’t catch me in such wishing terrain. Here’s a sample of what I would say; If Only I Had A CAR, I Wouldn’t Have Been Drenched Today! My pastor would say; “Don’t Ask God For Biscuit, Ask For The Biscuit Factory” He is more than able to give us what we ask for be bold and ask for something tangible knowing fully well you are not going to misuse it. I really need a car right now. I like RANGE ROVER SPORT by the way. Toyota Tundra ain’t bad either lol.

If I Had A Car, This Rain Wouldn't Have Drenched Me!
Luckily this didn't happen to me though LOL! Poor girl. If I were the driver of that car, I wouldn't have done that either.

Wednesday 12 June 2013

Sunday June 02 2013: Truth be told, I really like the peace and quiet of my room now. I did my morning rituals. Today’s church service holds at TBS Lagos. The Apapa Family holds is holding the annual service EXCEL Service. I attended VIM – Victory Inheritance Ministry instead. It rained the started drizzling, it’ll take a lot more than this drizzle to stop me from going to church today. I called Caesar to find out when to meet him at home and gave me 9:00am as usual. We made it in time before the end of praise and worship. Pastor Nelson Osewengie preached on a topic “I Have An Identity” It was a high octane session of undiluted insightful sharing of the knowledge of the good Lord and the world! By the way my identity is not subject to identity theft! If you don't know your identity it will be subject to abuse and misuse.

I ENJOYED THE SERVICE! I’m so glad I came here today. It was very refreshing. No offence to my pastor but I wish he can preach like this. I learnt a lot. He infused so many practical realistic examples to buttress his point which made the sermon very easy to digest. From start to finish it was worth it. it’s not good enough to know your identity but also make use of it. For those of you who don’t know, I Have An Identity Of Greatness! The church held different meetings after the service I had to wait. Ruth, Ese, Folake and Blessing are ushers here. Ruth didn’t come today, blame it on her ICAN exam. Ese and Folake had a little fall out which tried to resolve. It was a buyer-seller squabble over face powder.

From church we went to Spar. Caesar drove, Tony in the front seat, me in the middle flanked by Folake on my left and Blessing on my right at the back seat. We made fun of each other. Folake is a nice girl, she doesn’t talk too much but always speaks her mind. People that will talk my head off are not really my type. Blessing and Folake picked what they wanted they want and we left. If only I had my atm card I would’ve picked something as well. I didn’t have enough money on me. We dropped off Folake, I got dropped off too. First of, I donated my body to sleep. I stayed indoors throughout.

Amara came in the evening. She cooked jollof rice. I asked her about Ibe, she said he is fine. That’s good to hear. Caveat! I’m not asking so he can come back! I’m not asking cuz I miss him! Just wanna know if he is doing okay. Trust Ibe he will definitely understand it differently fortunately for me I don’t care. I’m only responsible for what I say and not responsible for he understands. I drifted off on my laptop.

Awesome Golf Picnic At Lakowe Lakes: A Family Leisure And Bonding Time
What a Colourful Scenery
Saturday June 01 2013: I woke up late I think. Rendezvous time at Ugo's house is 7:30am I woke up a 6:30am. I'm so not feeling this golf game today probably cuz I'm not going to play. I called Ifeanyi, he didn't pick. I felt weak. I probably weakened by last night's nightmare battle royal. I managed to shower and dress up. I called Ugo to know the status he gave me the green to head to his house. I got their before most people and I thought I might be the last.

Driving Range Full of Lovely Kids
It was colourful as everybody came with family, beautiful wives and kids and a grandma. I came alone, no girlfriend. I invited Lara yesterday but she declined, reason she had stuff to do today. We left Ugo's house in flamboyant convoy for Lakowe Lakes around eight o'clock. I was in Seyi's SUV the second to last car. Ugo's blue Prado was the last car. I sat at with Seyi’s two kids, a boy and a girl. The trip started on very smooth note, very lovely weather, I pray it ends that way. At Igbo Efon roundabout Seyi turned round back home as I was trying to attach a reasonable reason to what he did, he told me. There's a warning light glowing on his dashboard, being a cautious human being he wants to switch cars.

I wonder if we would've switched cars if he had only one car. We are back on the road, different car same trip. It was a bit long but we made it in one healthy piece. The house is over full, boisterous laughter tore through atmosphere in the club house.  Kids were running around playfully everywhere. We joined the rest of crew. Breakfast first as usual and it’s a buffet. First I took two pieces of yams, two pieces of beef, three short hotdogs, beans and an apple. I finished that took two bread buns, juice, two small meat pies and two eggs omelet. I feel full.

I can consume a lot more you know lol but let me play gentle man for now lol. After we all had enough breakfast, it was driving range and golfing time. We all trooped to the driving range. I'm not sure this place has seen a crowd like this before. The kids were running about. The weather was so sweet. It was too good to be true actually. It created a really lovely serene scene. If I had a camera I would've taken lots of shots. I took some shots with my phone. I love scenery views, the sight stimulates the romantic side of me. I’m down on one knee asking Mother Nature, will you marry me? LOL!

On our way to the driving range we met these four lovely ducks. They didn't mind us taking pictures of them. As a matter of fact I think they posed for the pictures like a media publicity obsessed celebrities

Gradually the weather changed then a lightening flashed. The guy in charge of the range pulled the plug. He said more lightning bolts will flash and we don’t wanna wait till then before dashing to safety. Come on man we just got to the range. We retraced our steps. Just like he said more thunder bolts raced across the skies. It’s actually exciting to watch this lightning bolts flash across the sky. I was a few meters away from the clubhouse. Quickly I dashed inside faster than Usain Bolt would.

Heaven let lose around 10:20am the rain fell so heavily. From the clubhouse which has a glass or transparent walls, you can see how heavy it was. It rained hard and long. The last time we came here it rained in the morning before a great weather embellished the skies and the whole day. This time around it was the reverse. The day started with a great weather which deteriorated at the height of pleasure trip.

Good Weather Gone Bad
You can plan a pretty picnic but you can’t predict the weather. We waited it out at the clubhouse. Everyone indulged in one thing or another like taking pictures, group discussions, drinking the drinks meant for refreshment during the golf game. The rain refused to stop completely. We took a rain check with the management since there is no refund. We’ll plan another date to golf it out lol. So that was how our Saturday at Lakowe Lakes came to an end we didn’t hope for.

Seyi dropped me off at Igbo Efon. I bought one Kukere 4 Christ CD and went home. Before I reached home I saw Deborah. Instantly that dream played in my head. I just watched her very closely as if to spot even a microscopic telltale sign on her. Of course none was visible. I stayed indoors through the day. Frank came in the evening to collect the right hard drive for the Toshiba laptop I dashed him. I gave him the wrong hard disk the last time we met.

How The Succubus Attacked On Friday Night!
Last night sleep turned out action-packed. It was action-packed in scary way. It's frighteningly amazing how you don't know what goes on when you are asleep. The phrase ''sleep is the cousin of death'' captures it clearly. Have you ever wondered how or why you never know the beginning of your dream, you realize it’s a dream after the dream advances. It does puzzle me. Or why do we wake up from a nightmare sweating? Does the struggle in the dream use your energy in the physical? There are so many things about sleep and dreams that man doesn’t know and may never know.

From where I can remember, I closed my door as my new neighbour Deborah came in. She went straight to the bed. I was like it's gonna be good time. I didn't expect that anyway but I gotta take advantage of the opportunity. She teasingly took off her shirt revealing a small singlet. I joined her on the bed, a gleam of excitement in my eye, fully testosterone energized in anticipation of the pleasure to come. We were not naked though.

She got on top of me wearing the most seductive and teasing smile and said in cold lifeless tone; ''You have no idea who you are getting involved with and you still go ahead to do it'' Then I notice her upper body elongating like a snake. I knew then that this was a dream, to be precise a nightmare. I started screaming the powerful name of Jesus, Blood of Jesus. I was screaming my lungs out but the sound was drowned. I continued to scream and struggle to get off her grip and ultimately to wake up.

With all ounce of energy I was forcing my eyes to open. It was like trying to use my mind to pull down a reinforced brick wall. I didn't give up fighting for my life. Then my eyes opened. I was sweating and panting. I felt like a huge weight was bearing crushingly down on me. The crushing feeling gradually left me. I looked around the room forensically like a spiritual CSI expert. I didn't see anything out of the ordinary physically but I felt like something extraordinary just left the room. I was dazed for a while trying regain my composure. I kept wondering why did the succubus attack me?

How The Succubus Attacked On Friday Night!
According to medieval folklore, a SUCCUBUS is a demon that takes the form of a woman in order to have intercourse with a man in his dreams. The name comes from Old Latin, and means “to lie under.” In Islamic superstition, there is a similar demon called the qarinah or karina, and in ancient Middle Eastern cultures Lilith was the night demon's name. Whichever name is used, the essential qualities are the same: a demon who tempts men sexually at night and who tries to kill infants at birth.
The Bible in Proverbs 2:18-19, describes the dangers of the seductress or “strange woman” which is similar to SUCCUBUS.

I read somewhere that ‘SUCCUBUSES’ are drawn to those that are going through a “Emotionally Struggling” period in a guy’s life. One thing was really disturbing.  Am I emotionally struggling? Why did I see Deborah's face? Again why did this succubus attack? She has been to my room a couple of times. She has used my fridge to store her food, drank water from my dispenser, etc. I have never hit on her and don’t really intend to. I prayed about the dream seriously. Towards the end of the prayer I started to drift a bit, I used all my energy to focus till I finished the prayer and slept off immediately. I didn’t dream again.

Why Did The Succubus Attack?

MTN Nigeria Service Is Freaking Annoying! Friday May 31 2013
2013 is gradually running out. Today is 31 May already! How time flies. This time last year I closed my eyes, endured and ignored all the excesses of Ibe and family and we all lived happily ever after. But on another realm their excesses kept chipping away at my patience. I wonder where he is. I wonder how he is doing. He hasn't posted any sublime status on Facebook or I missed it. Not like I'm tracking his sublime status updates lol. I don't make it habit of going to his page to see something that don't add value to me rather it diminishes the value I placed on him.

I read my open heavens and prayed. I took my bath and went to my place earning a living. I was the first. I shot some hoops with our waste paper basket first then cleaned up the place. Ifeanyi came moments after the place was all cleaned up. Immediately he challenged me to our usual hoop contest lol. I extended the distance to make it more interesting. And that was how I dug my own grave. I scored first but he beat me the worst way, 7-1! The game ended at 9-5. He went to bring MD to the office from his house. I’m off to the banks already. I had to cash a cheque so the mechanic can be paid. The mechanic gave me a small cut out his pay, that’s generous of him today.

For months for me, MTN Nigeria service has been freaking annoying. I went to MTN office at The Palms from the bank. This is the third time I’m going to their office for the same issue not being able to call or text despite having airtime on my phone. I always meet a different person each time I go there. The lady that served me today actually was the best. She knows the problem very well and also knows the crude option MTN is forcing people to take instead of resolving the issue. She explained it’s a data problem. She said MTN has instructed them to shove two options down the throat of their customer, if the customer doesn’t like it he/she can go hug an electricity transformer. I added the go hug a transformer part. Option one is that MTN is forcing you to subscribe to a data plan, it could be daily, weekly or monthly.

I think for MTN, the customer is always wrong.

MTN is a greedy wicked criminal company. I don’t want any data plan. I’m perfectly okay without a plan, why force me to take a plan instead of investing in your infrastructure to give customers worth for their money? The other option was to turn of data usage on your phone. I browse on my phone why would I do that? MTN you make me sick. I so wish I can sue you right now. Every time there is a fault it always the customer that suffers. MTN Nigeria service is freaking annoying! I’m so pissed with this company right now.

I left their office really mad, if only our government is effective to sanction this bastard company. I gotta cal my nerves before I go kamikaze on them. I bought some soft drinks and went to Ugo’s house. He called earlier letting me know they moved to the house because of power issue at the office. I ate there. We worked from there. He gave me and Godwin N15,000 and N25,000 respectively as part payment of our salary. The rest comes on Monday.

Work closed early today, I like it. Golf game is on tomorrow I don’t feel like going. Ugo wants me and Ifeanyi to come just help him with the kids. I don’t think I wanna do that. Let’s see how it goes. I went home had a good long sleep. Amara came around to cook soup. She prepared okra soup, I don’t like the way she prepares hers. She left some for me, I’m not sure what I’m gonna do with it yet. I appreciate the gesture.

I wanted to ask her about their plans to take their remaining things to wherever they sleep now. And also let her know I will be removing the spare key, in other words denying them access without permission, but I didn’t. Let me observe them some more before my final irreversible decision.

A Friend In Need Is A Friend In Deed Thursday May 30 2013
Sleep can you please leave me alone. That's me pleading and struggling to get up around 5:00am. I got up eventually, but that was ten minutes after. Deborah didn't come till ten minutes after six to collect her package. A friend in need is a friend in deed. I did my ritual. Prepared for work and left. The environment is irritatingly wet and categorically cold. I hate when everywhere is like this. That Lagos is a flood prone state is no longer news. The entire Lekki area sits on a swamp. People just sand fill this areas and build houses. As a matter of fact people buy water bodies and sand fills it to build houses. Most times the sand filling is not done properly by experts. The person sponsoring the project may not have enough money to do it very well so they settle for less. In reality this whole is precariously sitting on water. The land is already saturated so any little drop in form of rain, the whole thing comes to the surface.

I took a bike and equally took a long route to the main road. I can’t expect it. Taking the normal short road means I really want to swim in the little oceans form with the aid of the bad road. As I was a few steps away from the office door a call from my boss came in, I didn't bother to pick it. Definitely he has grown impatient of waiting for me. I went late of course. What’s more, his second son was in the office. Damn! I just lost weight to the inevitable that the pain in the ass just got doubled. Though the kid can be a darling, he can also some many other ''un-darling'' things. The problem is less since the elder brother isn't here with him. They give sibling rivalry a whole new meaning. The kid can be fond of me most times. Actually he wanted to see me that is why his dad called. We greeted warmly and I warmed into my seat for work. Moments later he complained of hunger, now that's the Mezie I know very well lol. I got food for all of us from D'Place.

The day was sunny a bit. At least it's better than the constant rain. I was in the middle of my brunch when something on my job description came up that needs to be attended to. It involves leaving the comforts of the office through the madness on the street to an office in Saka Tinubu to make a payment. The once sunny sky started showering lightly. Oh Lord not again. Everywhere is still very wet and irritating to me. Godwin the driver complained that yesterday's rain damaged his property and documents. He said the water level in his room was almost knee deep. It is raining again, what a dumb luck he has. He was taking the car to the mechanic. He will drop me at Swift office then go his way. The rain intensified immensely. Swift entrance was flooded like I expected. Why do I have to go through rough and ugly development when I'm dressed so cute and sexy? I managed to get in without soaking my shoe so much. The shoe sole is so weak against water, that's my biggest worry.

I paid swiftly and Godwin dropped me at the NIPOST for something personal. I've been expecting a package from London from Victory. I'm supposed to help him get a paper from Nigerian police. I hate this sorta stuff but a friend in need is a friend in deed. I'm yet to get the package after Royal mail tracking number confirmed the package has been in Nigeria for 10 days now! At the NIPOST in Victoria Island, I was told the package has not arrived. To make matters worse they don’t really know where it is. I took a taxi back to the office. I slept and slept in the cab. My God protected me. Imagine if the driver decided to kidnap me or do something evil. There would be no resistance whatsoever. I let Vic know the situation, he didn't find it funny. He is running out of time.

I pounced on my food immediately I got back. It wasn't enough for me. We went out again in the evening, this time for something that doesn't exist on my job description. I find such trips very annoying. It appears he doesn't trust the drivers. I think he's just being cautious making sure me, the able bodied bodyguard is with the driver as he drives his son from point A to B. When we got back my body system changed. Finally the cold and rain I was exposed to today has started taking its toll on me. It waited till it was almost time to go home. I have to be strong. I have to resist it. Resist I did. Ugo left before me. I waited behind to finish reading Naruto Manga Chapter 632.

I went home afterwards. I checked on Doc briefly and headed home. I took a bike of course and still hiked the fare. I don't really blame them, flood is creating an opening for them to profit from. The flood can be bad for most motorcycles. Amara was at home in company of Fifi when I got there. She was cooking something, don't know what it was. Ok she cooked rice beans and stew with chicken. Only God knows where they stay? Only God knows if she is staying with her husband which I’m guessing is the case. She cooks here and packs the food elsewhere to eat. Hope it’s not a refugee camp, just kidding. I worked on my lappie for a while by that time she has finished her cooking and left in the cloak of the night. I ate the food she remained for me and went to bed.

RCCG Light Of The World Workers Retreat/Graduation Wednesday May 29 2013
RCCG Light Of The World Workers Retreat/Graduation Wednesday May 29 2013 - Cross Section of Graduates and Instructors
Yaaay!! Today is Democracy Day in Nigeria. Typical Nigerian attitude towards Democracy Day is “there’s nothing to celebrate about democracy day” It's a public holiday. Some say we have too many public holidays, I wouldn’t know about that. It originated when Nigeria transited into democratic government for a third time after decades of decays of military rule. Some school of thought believe military rule regime returned more development and growth. This subjective conclusion will be the premise for argument on another day.

Pastor Abraham Annam of RCCG Light of the World
Today is also our RCCG Light of the World Workers Retreat day at Atican beach. Time for assembling at the church was 7:00am and departure time to the beach 7:30am. I showered and left for church. Imagine my surprise when I got to church. I was the first person. I thought I went late. ''African Timing'' or ''Nigerian Time'' is a bitch! I didn't quite take it casually. Seriously we need to stick to time for God’s sake, time is money. The rest continued to trickle in till 7:30am. I could've work on my new pet project before coming here this morning. Anyway it's all good. After killing a considerable amount of time we left.

I was in the same car, a Nissan Pathfinder with Omolara and Jide at the back seat. Me and Lara short for Omolara talked all the way to venue. She happened to be a cartoon lover and a fan of Naruto! It couldn't get better lol. Where two or three Naruto fans are gathered, endless chakra and excitement for discussing Naruto is unleashed! The scenery on the road to the beach nostalgically evokes the images of my village in my head in a soothing way. You’ll drive past Ajah community, make a right at Abraham Adesanya Estate road and drive deep into the less developed massive land mass. We got to the place safely. We were the first set of beach goers to colour and enliven the vicinity with our presence.

RCCG Light Of The World Workers Retreat/Graduation Wednesday May 29 2013

I familiarized myself with the foreign environment. I haven’t been here before. I wouldn't have been here today if not for RCCG Light Of The World Workers Retreat/Graduation. The beach is not big. Someone bought a piece of real estate by the shoreline and converted it to personal beach. The person is one Mr. Atiku from Igbo Efon. It has a sandy courtyard where you can play football. At one corner is a wonky looking basketball rim, just one. There was a one-storey raised wooden platform overlooking the courtyard and the beach area. The lower part of this platform can serve as a stage. Lara said she didn’t trust the strength of the platform, I agreed. There were three other brick building and one sizeable tent structure including the raised platform surrounding the courtyard to form a square shape.

Me
We kicked off the workers’ retreat/graduation proper by 10:00am. Open Heavens was shared. The graduating workers, that's us, were admonished and prayed for. We took pictures with pastor and the facilitators. We had light refreshments and a thirty minutes break. The burn in my mouth from yesterday was still wreaking havoc in my mouth. It hurts badly.

After the break we did two team activities involving everybody be ye a graduating worker or not. One was a three point evaluation of RCCG Light of the World in the past one year and the other was a game. The evaluation was very insightful and the game was fun. Lunch followed immediately on the heels of the game. What's for lunch? I dare say it was delicious gourmet meal of jollof rice with two large pieces of chicken, lucky me I got two king-sized drumsticks. We all got specially served like kings and queens. I prayed and did excellent justice to my food. The burnt roof of my mouth is still shooting painful feedback to my brain. Fortunately this killjoy can't ruin my feast. I no be gentleman as I finished my food.

By now other beach goers have trooped in and music is blasting from every corner of the beach. I moved to a cooler tent cuz ours has gotten really hot. I cooled off a bit and went to the beach area. Some daredevil guys were playing football under that scorching sun baking the sand in the courtyard of the complex. I don’t wanna sweat.

At the beach area I saw Lara sitting alone on bleached wooden beach deck chair overlooking the ocean as the waves kiss the shores and hurry back to sea. You can also see other beach goers having fun, playing soccer, dancing to blasting music, taking photographs, etc. The sight of the bluish green ocean with the azure sky sitting calmly on the horizon invokes a rare sense of serenity and closeness to nature that feels therapeutic. It's so exotic. God I love this view. I joined Lara. We sat on the same deck chair sitting straight or laying back occasionally. We talked about a lot of stuff. I confess I totally enjoyed the quality time I spent.

Pastor's wife Funto Annam
Pastor’s wife called everybody back for the final item on our agenda and subsequently bringing the outing to a resounding close. We went back as we came in the same car. Me and Lara talked some more. We got back to the church at exactly 5:06pm. I went home and stayed indoors throughout. I express my profound deep appreciation to all responsible for successfully organizing this Workers Retreat/Graduation Event. I had a great time. May God bless you all. May God bless everyone that attended.

My new neighbour Deborah came by my room. She came to ask for a favour. Her fridge hasn’t arrived yet, and she wanna share mine. She went and brought a package, a meal package she intends to go to work with the next morning. She said she’ll pick it up by 6:00am the next day. I tried to stay longer on the computer but I couldn’t keep eyes open any longer so I gracefully and humbly submitted to authority of sleep.

Life Under New Management Tuesday May 28 2013
We have not had light for like three days now. I wonder what the problem is. They flashed it briefly last night. I don’t know what to wear today cuz all my clothes are not ironed. Heaven heard my heart and voila, there was light. I quickly ironed a shirt. I read my devotional open heavens. Today's topic was unusual Command. The memory verse was Matthew 4:4 which says;

''And He answered saying man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.''

I finished study and prayed. I cleaned my room. Did the dishes. Prepared noodles with hotdog, by this time the minute hand has gone a few minutes past nine. I hurried ate it while it was still hot. My dear mouth and its entire inhabitant please me forgive for putting you through this torment. I showered hurriedly also. I got to work a few minutes before ten. A Jay Z’s song I just heard triggered me to drop four sweet lines. The lines are below;

''My Life Is Under New management
I’m Reviewing all Engagement
Old me Just Got Fired
Better Me Just Got Hired''

On my way to work Elsie said she has a gist for me. She narrated to me in detail via series of text messages a tale of monstrous lust, brainlessness, shameless boldness, zero dignity, and unending struggle of how her auntie’s husband tried to force her to kiss him. I wonder what else he tried to force her to do. According to her, her auntie went to school earlier than usual. She was in the kitchen doing the dishes and the kids were at the dinning eating. That was split chance was when the sexual adulatory predator chose to strike. He came to her in the kitchen and forced her to kiss him. She refused and he began to struggle with her. In the struggle of what seemed like near rape ensued plates and cups were broken in the kitchen.

I’m handicapped to paint a vivid picture of what happened since my eyes weren’t there on the crime scene. After enough plates and cups were broken he regained his consciousness and gave the Elsie N20,000 to quickly replace all broken kitchenware so that the wife won’t know. Also before he left the house he asked if there’s anything he can buy for her. She hasn’t slept over at her auntie’s place before but she visits regularly. She didn’t know he had interest in her. This is all according to her. I advised her the best way I can letting her know that this is just the beginning. He will keep coming back until he gets what he wants, there’s a fall out or he gets caught. She has to leave that rape arena for another place.

Since their school is on strike she can come home to her family. There's this small ball in our office about the size of an adult palm closed to form a ball. We used to have a smaller ball and a basketball rim for kids. Me and Ifeanyi used to go head to head for superiority of basketball skills lol. Office redesign and renovation relocated the rim to bad corner so we now use the waste paper basket. The first time we did it he beat me 6-1 after uncountable times lol. That was on Monday. Today I whooped him. He couldn't believe his eyes at throws I was making. I couldn't believe myself either lol. Kobe can’t stand me, I’m on fire!

I went to Access Bank by Chevron roundabout to cash a cheque. Smack in the middle of processing my cheque, the power went off. I had to use my phone torch to light up the cashier's keyboard so she could see. The rain was feeling very generous it started showering. I’m not sure it has ever rained this heavy this year. Thanks to the bank, they were so efficient in reverse mode as they delayed the customers. Everybody was grumbling. The rain didn't care, was it supposed to? It kept pouring, showering, the road got flooded. Luckily I got served at the bank after wasting my time. But all through the time embezzling period, I remained absolutely calm. What will I achieve by panicking?

One of bank's securities escorted me with an umbrella to the car. At the other Access Bank branch beside Four Point Hotel, they always escort me out of the car to the bank or out of the bank to car to shield me from the sun today it was from the rain. I used to take it for granted but today I deeply appreciated it. We couldn’t finish the entire task we set out to do. We lost some time to inefficiencies of the bank and the traffic induced by the rain. We went back to office and shortly closed for the day.

I stopped at Igbo Efon bus stop as usual, the road was flooded. I decided to take a bike. But the greedy bike riders took unnecessary advantage of the flood to inhumanely hike bike fares by up to 200% I had no choice but pay and went home. I went to bed straight.

A Million Bucks Look Monday May 27 2013
Today is World Children’s Day. Thank God for today. I performed my morning ritual. I put up a Facebook update saying;

Today Is Children's Day, I Thank God For All The Children In The World. May God Continue To Protect Them From Evil, Give Them Good Health And Long Life, Feed Them, Nurture Them Into Great People, Etc. And May God Give Children To The Barren In Jesus Name!!!

I put up more nostalgic updates remembering the cartoons I watched back then as a kid. Cartoons like Superted, Voltron, Danger Mouse, Tom & Jerry, etc. I asked my friends to add theirs. Enque named so many that I forgot or didn’t watch. I got to office on time even though I was the last person to come. Ugo came first followed by Ifeanyi then me. But we all came before 9:00 am. Ugo was like for coming to work early, he will buy us all breakfast from Four Point Hotel. That sounded very exciting.

First he wrote me a cheque to cash to cover the expense and other miscellaneous. One thing led to another and he ended up not buying me breakfast but bought for Ifeanyi. Yeah he does that a lot. We dropped him and Ifeanyi at Four Point Hotel and made our way through the light traffic to America International School to take care of a minor payment for Marizu his kid. From there we proceeded to the house to sort another thing out with the wife. That was how I and the driver did our own breakfast. We picked them and went back to the office. We did another round of task outside the office. After that it was serious office work.

Once again Ugo left me out again in the scheme of things. This time it was the Uhambo team. We were preparing a preparing a presentation for investors about Uhambo and what we or Uhambo does. At the end of the presentation is the Uhambo Team listed. His reasoning was that since we have the same surname, that it will brew suspicion in the minds of the potential investors that this company is a family affair. So it’s better I work from the shadows. I didn’t bother trying to argue with him, for now you can have your way.

Did I forget to tell you I was looking like a million bucks today? And the colour was carefully and classically chosen by me. I’m no fashionista but I am so guilty if you accuse of being one today. I and Myself are really envious of people whose attention and eyes have gotten glued to Me. I wore a dark greenish brown check shirt, it has two exotic shades of the colour, excellently fitted like a bespoke shirt. A green Khaki Chinos trouser, signifying greener pasture, going green for Mother Nature, I got a lot green in my pocket and could make one go green with envy, brown belt and shoes, the coordination impeccable, the tire is in-between dark carton colour and a tinge of green, a notorious attention grabber but still blends smoothly like a chameleon and I wrapped it up nicely with a velvet black two button jacket with 007 awesome aura and confidence oozing out.

As I stepped into the office, the WOW effect was visibly overwhelming that Ifeanyi couldn't suppress the exclamation that forced its way out of his mouth seeking expression. Ugo had no choice but to succumb to the paralyzing effect of my classiness too. LOL. Yeah I looked good like that. He blurted out his excitement without reservation then asked me wittily ''Are you looking for a raise?'' I know during orgasm people say some crazy shit out of pressurized pleasure and satisfaction whirling through their system. I can understand where that question came from lol.

Chris came around in the evening in his usual casual sportswear and shorts. He only wears suit or any corporate wear when he has a business meeting. A few minutes later we were done for the day. I left Ugo with Chris as they were deeply engrossed in the discussion. As I got to Lekki roundabout, my spirit ministered to me to check on Caesar’s whereabouts. He said he was at Lekki roundabout, what do you know! I told him that’s where I am too. He picked me up, it beats a dozen times the hassle of public transport. It’s good to pay attention to your instincts, they are never wrong we just read them wrong.

We went to Spar cuz he wanted to pick a few things. I picked a hotdog. After the brief shopping we went straight home. On our way home he told me some personal relationship issues that really find annoying. Everybody got some form of demon or the other they face in their life. Some battle can only be fought by the person directly involved. I wish him luck. This is crucial decision point in life.

As I reached my door I could tell someone has been inside. I got in and saw some more telltale signs. Then I saw a small portion of soup in one of the pots. Garri was already made. I had already zeroed my mind on the chiki-chiki noodle with Frankfurt hot dog I was going to eat this night. I saw a note on the table addressed to me telling me to warm the soup if I don’t wanna eat it. I ate it, warmed the hotdog since there was no light and went to bed.

It rained last night. And I slept so well. I almost overslept. Today is Time Out with the pastor. I went to church on time. I didn't put on a tire. Me and one other guy, Idara, was sent out of the class to get a tire from anyone. I just went straight home for a tire. I don't like throwing a tire into the mix, when I wear different coloured trouser and jacket. I did it for the first time. Pastor admonished us. It was meant to strengthen our resolve in this path we have chosen. He hit the ‘head on the nail’ like I always say.

The service somewhat started on a dull note for me. For some strange reason I didn't quite feel the service today. I just don’t know what happened. We had workers meeting after service to conclude on logistics regarding our graduation on 29 May. There was also men's meeting after service but I didn't wait to join the meeting. I went to Caesar's immediately I got home, we are going swimming today, it's like a culture now. Tony and KY are friends of Caesar and now my friends came around. We ate boiled maize, it was very good. Next Blessing served us sweet potato chips. After, she brought boiled groundnut. It’s all good. That's about what I have eaten for the day.

We left the house eventually to pick up Ruth and Ese. Folake won't be joining us today, she's busy at work with Jumia. Now Caesar has been trying to match-make Ruth and Tony but no luck. Ruth has never seen anything good about Tony, she doesn't like him. Tony and KY were in another car Caesar's plan was to ambush Ruth with Tony's sudden presence at the pool. I figured Ruth won't find it funny. I sent Caesar Whatsapp message about my concerns but dude didn’t do anything about it.

KY and Tony were in separate car and parked in the front waiting for us. By the time we came out and for some reason Caesar had to communicate with KY and Tony and then Ruth saw Tony. She flipped on Caesar big time. Caesar tried to deny but there was no plausible deniability for him. He has a long history of trying to literally marry Ruth and Tony together. Ruth sees his matchmaking attempt as an act that borders on criminality. The brawl raged for a while till she calmed down and accepted the fact that Tony was going to see her sexy laps lol.

We got to the pool in really high spirits. We had our own drinks alcohol and cranberry juice. I changed immediately and jumped into the pool with excitement cuz I wanted to try out a new floating technique I read about on the internet. It was the act of floating on water without moving a muscle. Water got into my nose a couple times. I tried some more still same result. But I have this feeling like if I really practice hard I can do it. At my age, one is not so adventurous in some quarters. If it were kid me, I know I will never stop trying to master this floating technique. A little later the rest joined me. The rest were Ruth, Blessing, Ese and Austin. KY and Tony weren’t going to swim.

The pool was relatively had a lot of people, even kids were showing their skills making the grown-ups who can’t swim like Ruth and Ese green with envy lol. To add salt to injury, the smallest of the kids, a very small girl started teaching Ese how to swim. It was a funny sight. The little girl was commanding boldly with a serious-business attitude like her swimming instructor and Ese would just try her best to obey her trainer to the later. She might’ve punished Ese for failing woefully if care wasn’t taken lol. It was some memorable spectacle that should’ve been recorded for future reference lol. Kids are such thing of joy! Caesar’s attention was divided between being in the pool swimming and being out of the pool chatting with KY and Tony. The gist centered mostly on the chicks in the pool.

Then I saw a nasty mucus floating on the water, oh God. That really messed up rhythm. I stayed out of the pool for a long even after the management has taken care of it. I didn’t swim much again. Ruth was really busy learning from the trainer in the pool. We went home earlier than the last time.

Total Plan System Failure Saturday May 25 2013
Today is a lot of things. It's the monthly sanitation day which is the last Saturday of every month in Nigeria. The plumber is coming to fix my toilet today. Blessing (not Caesar’s girlfriend) said she will come to Lekki area today not my place. And we, the workers under training have time out with the Pastor today by 4:00pm. How do I handle all this? In deed none them is under my control. I read my Open Heavens and prayed. I did the dishes. I called the plumber, it was him who reminded me today's environmental sanitation.

During environmental sanitation no movement is allowed. Everybody should be cleaning their environments. Most people need to be prompted before they can sanitize their environment. It's a grave offence if you are doing otherwise. All shops remain closed and the road is usually empty. It ends by 10:00am.

I started reading a book by Dam Millman titled “The Four Purposes Of Life” It is a good read. It's been lying around for so long. I would've read the book dozens of time supposing I put my will to work. After a few pages I stepped out to the cyber cafe, it was past 10:00am so environmental sanitation has ended. I called the plumber again and he was still at home. And he expects me to believe that he will still make it today. I called Blessing, she was at the shop and also told me she will still come to Lekki in the evening.

The cyber cafe was a total waste of time and money. Can you imagine sending email in the Stone Age era, don’t bother it's not rewarding. I abandoned the computer and browsed on my phone instead. It's just that I can't post to the blog from my phone and I need to Google most of the post pictures. I purposely wasted my browsing voucher so that I won't have any reason to come back here.

I went home, bought bread and sprite on the way. That happened to be my breakfast and lunch. I had a good sleep till around 1:00pm. I got a text from my church around 1:23pm, the time out with pastor has been postponed till 7:00am tomorrow. All the items on my calendar are just taking care of themselves in a no-show way. I picked my book again, at least it won’t tell me not to read it.

Frank called. He is the kind of guy that only calls or visits me when he need a favour. He said he was in the neighbourhood and wanted to say hi, by the way did I cook anything. I said no. He came anyway we talked and I ended up giving him my old laptop. I wanted to give it out anyway. It has a screen and battery problem which I let him know. He was happy, he didn't mind the issues cuz he was convinced he can fix it at computer village Ikeja. If I’m to be frankly frank, Frank is not the kinda guy I’ll normally give something of that value to just like that. He is the type of guy that will never know you when he is enjoying, you won’t even know such time. HE ONLY COMES TO MY HOUSE WHEN THERE’S A HELP I CAN GIVE HIM, PERIOD! I guess the spirit moved me to give it to him anyway just to pay evil with good.

We left together, I needed to collect a particular folder from the hard drive and then format the hard drive. The hard drive refused to work I couldn't retrieve the folder nor format it. Looks like everything that's supposed to happen today don't want to happen.

Total Plan System Failure Saturday May 25 2013
I planned to go buy new shoe today if not for everything that was lined up. Let me check, what did I accomplish today out of all things I lined up for today, NONE! It was a total calendar collapse. Total system failure. Not my fault though. It all didn't work out cuz it wasn't meant to come to pass.

Observe In Silence, Action Tells All! Friday May 24 2013
The day started pretty fast and ended the same. Thank God I’m Favoured, its TGIF. I read my Open Heavens and prayed then left for work. At work I did a few out of office runs to the bank and other places. Some really took my time.

Observe In Silence, Action Tells All! Friday May 24 2013
I put up a Facebook status – Observe In Silence, Action Tells All! Few minutes later Ibe put his own, a reply to mine. Here’s what he wrote;

“THOT YOU SAID YOU WERE INEXPERIENCED??ACTION??? I PRAY DONT WATCH YOUR OWN FAMILY DIE IN YOU SO CALLED SILENCE! NOW THAT WONT BE HEROIC,WOULD IT”

Again what the heck is he talking about ‘inexperienced’ Is it one of his many made up phantom enemies? Whatever keeps the dude happy mehn. Just like Chazz & Jimmy on the song ‘Niggas In Paris’ by Jay Z and Kanye West that goes;

Jimmy: I don’t even know what that means
Chazz:   No one knows what it means but its provocative
Jimmy: No it’s not, it’s gross
Chazz:   It gets the people going!

M na-chufu nkita na nshi, owu mua ga-eri ya? Why should I chase a dog away from eating shit, am I the one going to eat the shit? I do my Facebook updates as the spirit moves not because I’m passing a subliminal message to him. I see or feel what I like I post it.

TGIF took place for the first time in our office. We left office around 3:00pm and went to The Pavilion in Lekki Phase 1. That is, me, Ugo and Ifeanyi. We had catfish pepper soup and three rounds of beer. Uncensored conversation ensued if you know what I mean. Fidelis joined us towards the end of our hangout. I'm not much of a cat fish pepper soup guy. Besides it wasn’t that great by my standard. They could've added utazi leaf for a spicier taste. After my three bottles of gulder lager beer I went over to the sea shore to look at coast line horizon. It was beautiful to me. I took some pictures. Actually this was my first time of taking three bottles of beer at a short seating. Not that I can’t hold the liquor but I always avoided it. I don’t derive any pleasure in drinking myself to stupor. Ifeanyi was like for a first timer at drinking three bottles at a go you did it like a pro. I am tipsy.

We all left at the same time. I stopped briefly to say hi to Doc. I went home some minutes past five o'clock. I noticed someone was in my room. I checked the kitchen, there was a half pot of rice on the stove. I drank water and slept off. My sleep was rudely cut short by the notorious sound of someone fiddling with the door lock again. It felt so dreamy in my half-awake half asleep state until I fully regained consciousness. The fiddling continued. Is it that the person doesn't know it is locked from inside or what? Can't the fiddler knock? Does the fiddler really want to damage the lock trying to force it open? Again what if I was enjoying myself with girl, the person will just barge in? I mean common sense is uncommon to these people. I got up still sleepy. Opened the door and went back to the bed.

Observe In Silence, Action Tells All! Friday May 24 2013
I saw only Amara when I opened the door. Moments later I heard Ibe’s voice. Don’t know when he entered. I see. I'm guessing they didn't think I'll be home by this time. They sneak in and out when they think I'm not home. I knew that Amara knew where Ibe was, I mean it's no brainer. You know for a guy that sent me that brainless text, spews trash on Facebook, he is really shameless to still come back to make use of my apartment. He has succeeded through his actions in poisoning my mind with considerable disdain for him. His actions silhouetted on light of morals. He showered. Don't know what his wife did and he noisily scolded her instantly. That mad noise shattered the revered serenity of my sanctuary. They cleared the rice in the kitchen disappeared into the night darkness to wherever they've been camping.

A call from Nkemakolam cleared the sleep from my eyes and the confusion from my head. I thought it was morning of the next day, I didn't know Friday was not gone yet. We talked about a couple stuff. Sleep didn't come easy again the rest of the night, I managed to sleep anyway.

No Complain Day Thursday May 23 2013
I declared today no complain day. I don’t want to complain about anything today. I'm gonna try. Humans complain a lot inadvertently. I woke up on time. Feeling good. Feeling like I need more sleep. I read my Open Heavens and prayed. I thought about where Ibe could've gone to. Not that it bothered me but hey just a thought. He crossed the line when that stupid text of his left his phone bound for mine. It's like a bullet, you can't stop it once it's fired and the damage can be very damaging. Also I pondered about where his wife sleeps, is she still doing her Saladmaster business? I’m going to change my locks. But I will let them know first. They are not gonna know what the key looks like. I locked the door from inside which I now do unlike before. I wonder how the Saladmaster thingy is going.

I went for a shower around 9:00am. As I just started I heard someone fiddling with the door trying to open it. Obviously the person knew it was locked from inside but the person kept forcing the door to open. The person I guess called my phone several times. I couldn't pick in my foamy lathery shower state. The person didn't even knock just kept forcing the door to open. What if I locked it cuz I was having an adult rated quality time with a woman? So whoever the person was will just barge in? I asked who it was and no response was the answer. I said I'm bathing so wait a little while. No change to the intensity of fiddling sound as if someone is noisily picking the lock. I hurried a bit in the bathroom.

When I opened the door I saw no one. I saw some items on the ground telling me who it was. Moments later Amarachi came up, she had a small scissors and other tools apparently to take the lock apart. Seriously?! So she wants to take the lock apart and probably leave the fixing part to me. It’s no complain day by the way, am I complaining? I’m glad they have a place they are staying now even if it’s the riskiest dirtiest darkest parts under Obalende Bridge. I dressed up and left for work.

No Complain Day Thursday May 23 2013
Ifeanyi was already there, Ugo wasn't. Ify has been absent this week. I got him updated on events in the office. We had a little basketball competition. We had this small ball in the office so we took turns trying to throw it inside a waste paper basket at other corner of the office. Yeah we should be working right lol. He demolished me. He beat me 6-1. He said he will beat me 10-1 but we stopped when MD came to work. I know we'll do it again, it’s just a matter of convenient time. We have discovered a stress relieving exercise. After all, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy they say. Immediately MD came in he ordered food for us, is he that starved? I went to get the food and some other stuff. I bought a lot of stuff, let’s just say I made sure I spent all the money.

Did I tell you how good I looked? I wore a nice TM Lewin pink shirt, a brown chinos trouser and a black jacket. Boy I look sweet if I can so myself. If I were you I will fall for me now lol. A weird fashion coincidence occurred. Ifeanyi wore a pink polo shirt and brown chinos trouser exactly like me. The driver also wore similar colour shirt and chinos. What sorta uniform is this? It's like we planned it. The only difference is my black jacket. I finished my shopping, time to head back to the office. The car refused to start. Are you kidding me? When I'm looking classy like that, this car wants to fall my hand like we say here. I can’t complain, it’s no complain day lol.

I told my boss the situation and he asked me to take public transport back while he sends a mechanic to fix the car. I went back to the office. We had our meal, it was good. Shortly the mechanic arrived to the office with faulty car, he has fixed it. He advised the car be serviced immediately to avoid a recurrence of fault in a more damaging scale. When I got home Amara was there cooking rice and stew. She asked if I want some. I said yes. She left for me in the pot and took rest and left. I ate and went to bed.

Chief Sunday Ndubuisi Ariwodo Died Wednesday May 22 2013
I called Yomight the plumber in the morning to fix the toilet issue. He said he'll come on Saturday. Amara came in this morning. I left her at home and left for work. The office seems deserted today. MD hurriedly ate his food and left to pick his kids from school. Ify breezed in briefly towards evening. He left shortly. MD hadn't come back yet.

News got to me that we lost a relation this morning. One of my uncles, a patriarch Chief Sunday Ariwodo died this morning in Atlanta US. He lived a good life, achieved good things. He had a good wife and children. It’s a shocker. I can’t even write anything today. I grew up with living with this man and his family. His wife is my aunt, my dad’s elder sister. He has a legendary aka gum.

He is a good man. I can remember his laughter so well.
May the lord comfort us all especially the immediate family.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.

Alway there, and beaming life lessons to me.
Never did I expect the cold hand of death.

You taught me wisdom, patience and love
You taught me by being a role model.
Without your teachings, I wouldn't be

You built a foundation no one can take away.
I have grown up with your values and I am

How are the mighty fallen! The Patriarch of the Ariwodo clan, Chief Sunday Ndubisi Ariwodo, has just gone to paradise. With total submission to the will of the Almighty God, we cherish the time God allowed him to bless us with his erudite presence. We would be no where without his careful guidance. I slept alone in the house once again. Feels like old times but the house don't quite smell or look like old times yet. I read my Open Heavens and prayed. Did a little laundry. I reworked my article about the accommodation crisis I'm going through. Before I did laundry something happened. I went in the toilet, one look at the water cistern tank and something looked off about it. I looked closer and it wasn't lapping to the wall like it's supposed to. I checked the under and the iron holding it to the wall was rusty and weak. I was like this this is gonna fall soon. My disposable gillet cover got stuck in the narrow gap that has gradually formed where it should've lapped to the wall.

My premonition or sixth kick-started and imminent danger was sort of averted. As I tried to remove the shaving stick cover the tank dropped with the speed of a faulty elevator. I didn't even see how quickly I moved. Trust my sharp reflex, I'm not bragging o lol! But I caught firmly. Mind you the tank was full. I was like what the hell just happened. I’m glad it happened the way it did. Imagine the shattering outcome had I not been rightly positioned when it fell off the wall and more importantly if I failed to catch it. It would've smashed to bits on the toilet floor maybe damaging the floor tiles in the process. The other likely outcome was to land on my toes and that would've been painfully bloodily ugly. Thank God for the way it happened. I cleared the rust that dirtied the toilet.

They say every disappointment is a blessing, I've always wondered how. This time I saw a blessing in disguise. We've been having water problem, I had no idea that clean water flowed into tank while no water flowed in other taps. Now I know, I don’t need to go downstairs to fetch water. Matter fact I fetched from the pipe feeding the water cistern, no dulling. I used the water to wash my swimming gear, showered and stored some in the bucket.

Fifi the girl that lives directly below me came looking for Amara. I’m guessing just like me she has no clue where she went to unless she was pretending. She asked if Amara went out this morning I said yes. I went to work. I ran into Caesar as he was going to work too. He gave me a lift, and transport fare saved. He works in Lekki too with wife of Peter Okoye of PSquare. We talked about joining forces with a few young guys to start a business legacy. I loved the idea. If you ask me I’m ready. I was first to resume as usual.

Chris came in almost immediately. The boss came in late. I didn't do much of running around today like I did yesterday. I downloaded a list of Jaci Velasquez songs for him. She has nice songs. Then I faced that energy sapping boring presentation again. That was all I did till close of work. I made significant progress. South Africa called Ugo asking after Ifeanyi like they wanna recruit him. That’s good for him. Ugo promised to send them a brief profile of Ifeanyi. He asked me Ifeanyi's birthday and it dunned on me that I don’t know it. That’s really awkward. I’m sure he doesn’t know mine but I felt like I should know his.

I emailed my progress on the presentation before leaving the office. I got in the first bus, a very comfortable front seat. The back seat wasn’t as comfortable though. The bus doesn’t have a window you can open at the back. It’s just a plain sheet of glass. It’s good for cars that always use the air-conditioner. I hate sitting at the back of such buses. You don’t get enough air back there. Most drivers and conductors alike don’t give a rat’s ass how uncomfortable it makes passengers. They just want your goddamn money. The bus was taking long to fill up cuz people get in the back, notice window and just get out the bus fast.

One woman complained to the conductor, and I was taken aback by the magnitude of rudeness laden response of the conductor. It was very aggravating. I can imagine how the woman felt. The conductor went on talking so rudely to other passengers and I just couldn’t stand it. I got down from the bus and waited for the next one. Jeez people should learn a little manners, it won’t wear away your personality. I got to Doc’s shop, didn’t spend much time there. Me and Austin went to Onye Mama’s place to take care of stomach emptiness. I didn’t quite enjoy the meal. The garri was too soft for my liking. I went home.

Amara was at home. Okay. I didn’t bother asking where she went or the whereabouts of his delusional husband. I was contemplating removing the extra key from where I keep it for emergency entry. I decided to leave it for a while. She picked a few things and left again. She also left a burning candle dangerously placed directly on top of the kitchen cupboard. If not for God’s protection she might’ve burnt us all a long time ago with careless placement of burning candles. You will think they know how to take simple precaution. I watched a movie on my lappie and hit the sack.
