I never knew that most criticized and controversial Nollywood actress to put out a song in the Nigerian showbiz, Totnto Dikeh wanted to commit suicide. That is really unbelievable. So all that tough-girl, I-don't-care attitude on social media was just a charade? People really shoulder some terrible burdan on their shoulder, that I know. Personally I have no remorse for someone that commits suicide, the person should be charged for taking a life. Suicide is never an option. People go through worse and they still manage to survive.

As for Tonto Dikeh, she is living her life right? If what people say is enough to drive her to attempt committing suicide, I think she should seriously check her life before she wreck her life. People will continue to talk. I'm not perfect but in my opinion she enjoyed the controversy she was creating as it garnered enough publicity for her in the Nigerian showbiz industry. Is diminishing returns setting in from that type cheap popularity attained through controversies? She keep doing the controversial things that make people talk and expect them not to talk. Well what you sow/sew is what you reap/rip. Does she not bully other people online?

My advice to you Tonto Dikeh, is live your life right by you and your God and forget about what people are saying including me. Whatever you do people must talk..

Tonto Dikeh tried to commit suicide a few weeks back. Unbelievable, right? I heard everything that happened on that fateful day but decided not to write about it because it’s such a sensitive issue. She really wanted to end her own life but thank God for the intervention of good friends.

If I write details of what happened that day, none of you will believe it. I was in shock myself. All I will say now is please take it easy on her with your comments and attacks on social media.

The only reason I’m writing about it now is because she kinda shared what happened to her on her instagram page but most people didn’t get what she was trying to say. Also, like Tonto said, suicide is never the solution to any problem. This is for those who are contemplating it. See the photo Tonto shared on Instagram and what she wrote.

Tonto dear, you’re a beautiful strong woman who deserves to live a long, fulfilling life. Never let what people say about you push you over the edge, because when you really think about it, nobody holy pass. And remember, the haters can scream so loud sometimes that you miss the voices of the people who love you. Hear their voices and know you’re loved. Keep your head up, girl. Linda

Kim Kardashian Last Supper Photo And Scot Disick Posing As Jesus Offensive?
Kim Kardashian Last Supper Photo And Scot Disick Posing As Jesus Offensive?
"The Last Supper" painting by Leonardo Da Vinci is one of the paintings I grew up to respect as a kid. A Massive version of that piece of artwork by Da Vinci hung on the ceiling of my uncle's house. I didn't respect it not because of the painting itself or the painter behind it. I respect it because it kinda brings the notion of God to me. I tend to mentally picture the life of Jesus Christ as he lived it on earth everytime I set my eyes on The Last Supper painting by Leonardo Da Vinci. And because of silly showbiz the Kardashians wants to crush that connection for me?!

Read: Nigerian Showbiz: Don Jazzy Has A Crush On Me - Toolz Claims

I know people are capable of anything for sake of publicity and otherwise, still I'm appalled. I find this stunt of the Kardashians with the identity of Jesus in The Last Supper painting rather offensive. The Kardashians and cohorts blatantly disrespected the image of Jesus and God as illustrated on the Leonardo painting. Please don't mistake this for the worship of graven image on my part.

Scott Disick posted a parody photo of Leonardo Da Vinci’s Last Supper painting on Instagram. This painting featured himself sitting the the ‘Jesus’ position and Kendall Jenner replacing Judas Iscariot.

The photo which was posted on Instagram and immediately deleted featured Kanye West, Kris Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Khloe, Kourteney, Kim and all the Kardashian clan, including in-laws like Lamar Odom.

Beside the bad tasting fact of Scott basically calling himself God, the Last Supper leaves less to be desired and definitely lends itself to extreme interpretation. For example, why does Kris Humphries still get to be in the family photo? And perhaps even more pressing, why did Scott replace Judas’ face with Kendall Jenner’s?!

Will People Celebrate Your Exit? – RCCG Open Heavens Devotional Monday 12th August 2013
WILL PEOPLE CELEBRATE YOUR EXIT? BY PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE

Memorise:
When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.” Proverbs 11:10

Read:
Proverbs 11:10-11

(Proverbs 11:10) When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.

(Proverbs 11:11) By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.

Open Heavens Devotional Message
Are you a professing believer in Christ and it seems a small thing to you when you tell a lie? It is doubtful if you are still saved. You cannot be genuinely saved and find it easy to lie. Today, I wonder if it is the same salvation that some of us got that such people have, or whether there are different versions of salvation nowadays. Nonetheless, let us pray persistently for the salvation of those at the helms of affairs – be it religious or secular. If those in secular authority refuse to be converted and to rule in the fear of God, the alternative is to convert the voters who will cast the votes for the righteous. Why? This is because thieves will always vote for thieves like themselves.

“When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.” Proverbs 11:10

From the above scripture two events are mentioned that bring joy to people: when the righteous is given the privilege of ruling, joy comes; and when the wicked rulers are sacked or moved out of the way, there is jubilation. Every wicked ruler over your life or destiny that has refused to change shall be uprooted in Jesus name. However, it is important you look at yourself and ensure that you are not wicked to others.

If you are a lecturer and refuse to let any of your female students to pass your course for turning down your sexual advances, you are a wicked fellow. If you are asking for bribe before you perform the duties you are paid for, you are a wicked fellow. If you delay or deny your staff their entitlements, you are a wicked fellow. If you gang up against others or blackmail or lie against them so that you can takeover their job, contract or opportunity, you are a wicked fellow, you are not a Christian. If you are making life unbearable for those under you, you are a wicked fellow. Do know that those you are maltreating are crying to God, and one day you will be shown the way out and people will celebrate your exit? In any way you been oppressing others, repent today and restitute your ways.

Bible In One Year:
2 Kings 1-3

Key Point:
Go and restitute to all those you have oppressed.

Oprah Winfrey Narrates Her Trois Pomme Switzerland Racism Issue Over $38,000 Hand Bag
Oprah Winfrey Narrates Her Trois Pomme Switzerland Racism Issue Over $38,000 Hand Bag Oprah Winfrey
The female African-American Billionaire media mogul Oprah Winfrey announced to the world that she was the victim of racism on a recent trip to Switzerland when a shop assistant refused to show her a handbag because it was "too expensive."

Winfrey was in Zurich for Tina Turner's wedding in late July when she left her hotel alone and popped into an upscale handbag shop.

She stated: "I was in Zurich the other day at a store whose name I will not mention. I didn't have my eyelashes on, but I was in full Oprah Winfrey gear. I had my little Donna Karan skirt and sandals, but obviously The Oprah Winfrey Show is not shown in Zurich."

"I go into a store and say to the woman, 'Excuse me, may I see that bag over your head?' and she says to me 'No, it's too expensive.'"

Winfrey says she asked again to see the bag, a $38,000 crocodile skin number by Tom Ford -- and the woman again refused, saying, "No no no, you don't want to see that one, you want to see this one, because that one will cost too much and you will not be able to afford that."

Winfrey says she asked a final time to see the bag: "One more time I tried. I said, 'But I really do just want to see that one,' and she said, 'I don't want to to hurt your feelings,' and I said, 'Ok thank you so much, you're probably right, I can't afford it and walked out of the store. Now why did she do that?"

While Winfrey did not specifically identify the shopping trip as a racist experience, she described the incident when asked about her encounters with racism during an interview.

The talk show host is the first and only female African-American billionaire, with an estimated net worth of $2.8 billion. She said: "I could've had the big blow up thing and thrown down the black card and all that, but why do that?"

Winfrey decided not to reveal the identity of the shop, but the name of the high-end boutique; Trois Pomme  was soon revealed.

The shop's manager told CNN the entire incident was a "200 percent misunderstanding" and had nothing to do with racism.

"Mrs. Oprah said she just wanted to look at the bag, she didn't want it taken down, and because my sales assistant felt a little embarrassed about the price, she quickly said that she also had the model in other materials such as ostrich and suede, which weren't so expensive," explained Trudie Goetz, the manager of Trois Pommes.

Calling it a "normal selling discussion," Goetz said: "Mrs. Oprah got the impression she didn't want to sell the bag to her because she wanted to show her other bags. This had nothing whatsoever to do with racism."

"Who wouldn't want to sell a bag like that? Everyone would. My saleswoman just wanted to do her best. She feels very bad because she feels the way it's being represented is very unfair."

Nothing Too Sudden – RCCG Open Heavens Devotional Sunday 11th August 2013
NOTHING TOO SUDDEN BY PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE

Memorise:
For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Psalms 30:5

Read:
Luke 8:22-25
( Luke 8:22) Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.

(Luke 8:23) But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.

(Luke 8:24) And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.

And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him. Luke 8:25

The scripture in today’s memory verse, tells us that negative events have time limits. If this were not the case, no one would have been able to enjoy life at all. This also means that the fact that something went wrong is no reason why it will end wrong. Weeping can last for a night, but it will be gone in the morning. Are you weeping? It shall soon give way for joy. It also tells us that no matter the situation you are in now, as long as you are linked with Jesus who is a master of situations and circumstances (M.Sc.), it shall end in joy.

From the story of the Shunammite woman recorded in 2 King 4:18-26, we learnt that often times, storms never give notice before they come. Early that morning when the woman woke from sleep, the temperature of her son was normal, if it was not so, the boy would not have been allowed to visit his father in the field. You may never know when you will need to cry to God; therefore you must not owe God in vows (Psalm 50:14-15). When Jesus asked that they go over to the other side, the storm did not give any indication that it will come.

One of my daughters was travelling to the Eastern part of Nigeria, sitting at the back seat of a Peugeot car as she read her bible. Then suddenly while at top speed, the front tire of the vehicle she was in busted. She could only remember one word – Jesus. She shouted it while the car began to somersault. At that point, there was no time to confess sins. Suddenly, the door was flung open and invisible hands picked her up and gently sat her down by the road, from where she became onlooker in an accident she was involved in. at the end of it all, she was the only survivor who narrated the story. Usually, what occurs suddenly may be out of the control and timing of man, but it is within God’s control. No sudden event can take God by surprise. The Lord will step into that so-called sudden event and bring you out of trouble. However, let your ways always be right with God.

The reality of sudden disasters is a good reason to always be prepared for death.

Nothing Too Sudden – RCCG Open Heavens Devotional Sunday 11th August 2013

Luke 8:25

Tears Of Supplication: A Moment With Heaven

I was playing some gospel songs today and I experienced something extraordinary. I came back from the Redeem Christian Church of God Camp this morning. This week was the 61st Annual Convention, this year's theme was simply and powerfully termed JESUS. It was my first time at the camp, the service was awesome. The crowd was unbelievable. I was so "flabberwhelmed" and "overgasted" by what I saw.

I got back home so tired with my knees aching like hell. I wasn't comfortable in the bus, there wasn't enough leg room for my lovely long legs. There's usually an out-of-this-world traffic during the program because of the type of crowd it pulls. It pulls crowd of Christians coming to worship God and business people Christians and otherwise coming to do business by providing essential services and goods to worshippers. I showered when I got home. Debbie gave me some food. After eating, I had a real good sleep. I felt really energized when I woke. I decided to play some songs.

I played a couple songs before the Hillsong track titled "My Heart Will Trust" played. I had been singing along. This song felt different. I felt different. It sounded different. I love the song. I love all the gospel songs I was playing.

The playlist included
Paul Wilbur - Hinei Matov Umanaim
Bob Fitts - Some May Trust In Horse (Medley)
Don Moen - God With Us (Medley)
Frank Edwards - Ome Mma
Ron Kenoly - All Honour
Paul Wilbur - Blessed Are You
Jaci Velasquez - Unspoken
Etc

The Extraordinary Experience
In the middle of this particular gospel song, 'my heart will trust', my emotions ran deep, I felt a lump in my throat. The lump got bigger and my eyes got teary. I tried to hold back the tears but I lacked the power, it just flowed while I continued singing. I didn't care if anyone was listening to my half song, half cry. I have played that song many times before without sacrificing any tear drop.

I hardly cry. During the death and burial of my sister, I shed not tear not that I didn't feel the pain deep inside. It was years later that I shed tears for when I was playing a song by The Script titled "If You Could See Me Now" because I always remember her anytime I play that song. Was this tears of joy? No it felt different. I can't really describe it perfectly. The feeling was something like "Lord though I have forsaken by my thoughts and actions please don't forsake me. I want to still trust in you, please help me help myself, I'm powerless." It was tears of supplication.

I'm not the holier than thou type of practicing Christian. I'm just trying to work my salvation with fear and trembling. I have flaws. When the tides of salty tears rose from the depths of my existence high to my eyes and started pouring out, I was flummoxed. At the same time indescribable inner peace afterwards. I replayed the song just to relive that experience. It didn't happen again. It was just that one miraculous moment. It was a moment with heaven. It was worth it. I want to have that experience again.

Below is the lyrics to the song
Hillsong - My Heart Will TrustI’ll walk closer now on the higher way
Through the darkest night will you hold my hand
Jesus guide my way
O you mourn with me and you dance with me
For my heart of hearts is bound to you

Though I walk through valleys low
I’ll fear no evil
By the waters still my soul
My heart will trust in You

O You counsel me and You comfort me
When I cannot see,
You light my path

My heart will trust in you
