Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg_after_a_run_in_Lekki_Lagos_Nigeria_with_the-Road_Warriors
Mark Zukerberg, Affiong Williams, Ngozi Dozie running on Lekki-Ikoyi Bridge

Most wealthy people in the West do not flaunt wealth. Mark Zuckerberg came to Lagos, and he is comfortable doing ordinary things because earned money is different from stolen money.

Are you surprised at the blandness of his wardrobe? Don't be. Mark attended Philips Exeter in New Hampshire; one of the best college preps in America. They teach these things early in prep schools; character, learning and selflessness. In these schools, blandness is normal; formal dress is an Oxford shirt over plain khakis and penny loafers. Informally, you wear polos and boat shoes. The emphasis is on rigorous academic curricula, athletics and etiquette. America separates their thinkers and creatives early, and nurtures them.

Real money is not loud. When money is earned, people work, not because they need money but because they derive joy in doing what they love and contributing to the body of knowledge and to humanity. They know relaxation is a fluke if the contrast of challenging work is absent. They don't waste their lives in hollow pursuits of vain pleasure, material acquisition and conspicuous consumption.

How many rich people in Nigeria have really earned their money and contributed to humanity? Mark is comfortable in his own skin and has nothing to fear jogging on Lekki Ikoyi bridge or navigating puddle ridden curbs in Yaba without the ridiculous immensity of sirens and armed escorts. If you check out their charitable giving, you will be surprised. It is in character; they don't oppress... they build. They invest in people, not things. They make dreams come true, not shatter them. Real money has a strong sense of privilege and the responsibilities that comes with it. Take some useful lessons from this, and use money.... be humane, and don't allow money to use you.

On a lighter note....
One thing I have in common with Mar Zuckerberg is my DNA cold signed love for polo shirts and jeans too lol. I like to wear different colours and designs though. Feel free to join our polo shirt and jeans club, we are one big happy family.

And as a matter national pride and planetary jollof rice domination, Naija has dominated yet again. The jollof rice conquest of Ghana by Nigeria which is as old as the big bang continued as Mark Zuckerberg unequivocally confirms and endorses Nigeria jollof rice as the best, better than Ghana jollof rice. Chale we love you still. I'm thinking, Nigeria jollof rice should be an export commodity.

$1.4 billion jackpot! $1.4 billion is the all time record high amount to be won in Powerball lottery on Wednesday night.

Someone may be lucky enough to win the jackpot and even if they don’t actually take home $1.4 billion, they will become incredibly rich in a matter of moments.

Billionaire Mark Cuban has some tips for potential lottery winners, and he shared the advice below;

  1. The first thing you should do is] hire a tax attorney.
  2. Don’t take the lump sum. You don’t want to blow it all in one spot.
  3. If you weren’t happy yesterday, you won’t be happy tomorrow. It’s money. It’s not happiness.
  4. If you were happy yesterday, you are going to be a lot happier tomorrow. It’s money. Life gets easier when you don’t have to worry about the bills.
  5. Tell all your friends and relatives no. They will ask. Tell them no. If you are close to them, you already know who needs help and what they need. Feel free to help SOME, but talk to your accountant before you do anything and remember this, no one needs $1 million for anything. No one needs $100,000 for anything. Anyone who asks is not your friend.
  6. You don’t become a smart investor when you win the lottery. Don’t make investments. You can put it in the bank and live comfortably. Forever. You will sleep a lot better knowing you won’t lose money.
Mark Cuban also shared one last bonus tip with The Chronicled: "Be nice. No one likes a mean billionaire. :)”

The 3rd and 4th tip stood out for me. Most people always think with more money comes more happiness, but they are wrong. Money is Money. Happiness is happiness.

Kim Kardashian Last Supper Photo And Scot Disick Posing As Jesus Offensive?
Kim Kardashian Last Supper Photo And Scot Disick Posing As Jesus Offensive?
"The Last Supper" painting by Leonardo Da Vinci is one of the paintings I grew up to respect as a kid. A Massive version of that piece of artwork by Da Vinci hung on the ceiling of my uncle's house. I didn't respect it not because of the painting itself or the painter behind it. I respect it because it kinda brings the notion of God to me. I tend to mentally picture the life of Jesus Christ as he lived it on earth everytime I set my eyes on The Last Supper painting by Leonardo Da Vinci. And because of silly showbiz the Kardashians wants to crush that connection for me?!

I know people are capable of anything for sake of publicity and otherwise, still I'm appalled. I find this stunt of the Kardashians with the identity of Jesus in The Last Supper painting rather offensive. The Kardashians and cohorts blatantly disrespected the image of Jesus and God as illustrated on the Leonardo painting. Please don't mistake this for the worship of graven image on my part.

Scott Disick posted a parody photo of Leonardo Da Vinci’s Last Supper painting on Instagram. This painting featured himself sitting the the ‘Jesus’ position and Kendall Jenner replacing Judas Iscariot.

The photo which was posted on Instagram and immediately deleted featured Kanye West, Kris Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Khloe, Kourteney, Kim and all the Kardashian clan, including in-laws like Lamar Odom.

Beside the bad tasting fact of Scott basically calling himself God, the Last Supper leaves less to be desired and definitely lends itself to extreme interpretation. For example, why does Kris Humphries still get to be in the family photo? And perhaps even more pressing, why did Scott replace Judas’ face with Kendall Jenner’s?!

I did a generous thing today anonymously. I didn’t plan it though. A lady didn’t have complete bus fare and the danfo bus conductor was threatening fire and brimstone. The lady continued to plead that all she had was the amount in her hand. Whether it’s true or not, I don’t know and don’t judge. I just discreetly gave the danfo bus conductor more than the amount that completes her fare. The bus conductor now collected the rest from her as if he has decided to pity the lady. The lady thanked him profusely and I just watched. The danfo bus conductor never said a word about what really happened. I didn’t say any either. For a split second I felt not appreciated. Then my conscience tugged at my emotions and reminded me;

“Was it not you that want to help people anonymously? Well this is exactly what happens so better get used to it!”

This is the first time I had actually seen how such situation play out atimes. I pulled myself together and I was filled with greater joy. Doing generous acts anonymously is something that can be learnt.

Anonymity Idea Formation Years
As a kid back then in the eastern part of Nigeria, I often hear about donations to orphanages and destitute homes over the BCA Radio. It goes like this; N5,000 to Ahiaeke Motherless Babies Home by Chief So-and-so, N7,000 to Uzuakoli Leprosy Center by Engineer So-and-so, N5,000 to Ahiaeke Motherless Babies Home by Anonymous, etc. The radio broadcasts these donations frequently may be to motivate others to donate too. What usually happens is that when there’s a new set of donations, you may not hear the previous names that donated. But every time you’ll hear Anonymous. Then I will be like this MR. ANONYMOUS must be a very kind and generous rich man for him to donate all the time. I wished to meet Mr. Anonymous. I wished I was rich like him so I can donate regular like him too. I was certain Anonymous was a man and not a woman, the kids mind works in a marvelous way.

True Understanding Of The Word Anonymous
As I got older, my illusion of Mr. Anonymous was shattered. I learnt the meaning of the word. I learnt Anonymous is not a human being or rather it’s a human being that doesn’t want his/her identity disclosed. Frankly, I wasn’t disappointed rather it fascinated me. From then I became a strong advocate such generous works anonymously. Most times it’s impossible to carry out generous acts anonymously.

Why People Do Generous Acts
People do generous acts or good deeds for various reasons. Most times people do it for what they stand to gain, to politicize, attention-seeking, or based on some other conditionality. The best form of giving is giving anonymously. It signifies an act performed selflessly. For sake of doubt you can keep evidence of the act. The God who gave you the heart and resource knows what you did and will reward you abundantly!

The bible said in Matthew 6:3 (NIV) “But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing”

True Implication Of Doing Generous Acts Anonymously
It takes great selflessness and humble heart to donate anonymously. Ultimately it takes the fear of God to give alms help anonymously. Or some people just want private life private. It also shows you did solely it for the benefit of the cause and not for unnecessary attention-seeking, politicizing, or other forms of personal gratification. One can still enjoy the feel good factor of giving. Either way it is the best form of giving and should be emulated by everybody. Only disclose when you absolutely need to disclose your identity.

Note I'm only advocating going generous act or good deeds anonymously. So it doesn't cover doing something bad or evil anonymously.

May God Bless The Anonymous Works Of Thy Hand!

Seven Secrets of Self-Made Millionaires By Grant Cardone
Learn how to generate multimillion-dollar wealth and enjoy the journey on your way to the top.
First, understand that you no longer want to be just a millionaire. You want to become a multimillionaire.
While you may think a million dollars will give you financial security, it will not. Given the volatility in economies, governments and financial markets around the world, it's no longer safe to assume a million dollars will provide you and your family with true security. In fact, a Fidelity Investments' study of millionaires last year found that 42 percent of them don't feel wealthy and they would need $7.5 million of investable assets to start feeling rich.

This isn't a how-to on the accumulation of wealth from a lifetime of saving and pinching pennies. This is about generating multimillion-dollar wealth and enjoying it during the creation process. To get started, consider these seven secrets of multimillionaires.

No. 1: DECIDE TO BE A MULTIMILLIONAIRE
You first have to decide you want to be a self-made millionaire. I went from nothing — no money, just ideas and a lot of hard work — to create a net worth that probably cannot be destroyed in my lifetime. The first step was making a decision and setting a target. Every day for years, I wrote down this statement: "I am worth over $100,000,000!"

No. 2: GET RID OF POVERTY THINKING
There's no shortage of money on planet Earth, only a shortage of people who think correctly about it. To become a millionaire from scratch, you must end the poverty thinking. I know because I had to. I was raised by a single mother who did everything possible to put three boys through school and make ends meet. Many of the lessons she taught me encouraged a sense of scarcity and fear: "Eat all your food; there are people starving," "Don't waste anything," "Money doesn't grow on trees." Real wealth and abundance aren't created from such thinking.

No. 3: TREAT IT LIKE A DUTY
Self-made multimillionaires are motivated not just by money, but by a need for the marketplace to validate their contributions. While I have always wanted wealth, I was driven more by my need to contribute consistent with my potential. Multimillionaires don't lower their targets when things get tough. Rather, they raise expectations for themselves because they see the difference they can make with their families, company, community and charities.

No. 4: SURROUND YOURSELF WITH MULTIMILLIONAIRES
I have been studying wealthy people since I was 10 years old. I read their stories and see what they went through. These are my mentors and teachers who inspire me. You can't learn how to make money from someone who doesn't have much. Who says, "Money won't make you happy"? People without money. Who says, "All rich people are greedy"? People who aren't rich. Wealthy people don't talk like that. You need to know what people are doing to create wealth and follow their example: What do they read? How do they invest? What drives them? How do they stay motivated and excited?

No. 5: WORK LIKE A MILLIONAIRE
Rich people treat time differently. They buy it, while poor people sell it. The wealthy know time is more valuable than money itself, so they hire people for things they're not good at or aren't a productive use of their time, such as household chores. But don't kid yourself that those who hit it big don't work hard. Financially successful people are consumed by their hunt for success and work to the point that they feel they are winning and not just working.

No. 6: SHIFT FOCUS FROM SPENDING TO INVESTING
The rich don't spend money; they invest. They know the U.S. tax laws favor investing over spending. You buy a house and can't write it off. The rich, in contrast, buy an apartment building that produces cash flow, appreciates and offers write-offs year after year. You buy cars for comfort and style. The rich buy cars for their company that are deductible because they are used to produce revenue.

No. 7: CREATE MULTIPLE FLOWS OF INCOME
The really rich never depend on one flow of income but instead create a number of revenue streams. My first business had been generating a seven-figure income for years when I started investing cash in multifamily real estate. Once my real estate and my consulting business were churning, I went into a third business developing software to help retailers improve the customer experience.

Lastly, you may be surprised to learn that wealthy people wish you were wealthy, too. It's a mystery to them why others don't get rich. They know they aren't special and that wealth is available to anyone who wants to focus and persist. Rich people want others to be rich for two reasons: first, so you can buy their products and services, and second, because they want to hang out with other rich people.
