Healthy Living Tips: 5 Surprising Health Benefits Of Orgasm
5 Surprising Health Benefits Of Orgasm

Only humans and dolphins engage in sex strictly for pleasure, the rest do it solely for procreation. The pleasure to enjoyed for most adults in the end game which is orgasm. That short pleasure explosion moment can be unforgettable or simple forgotten if not done properly. Besides this pleasure, orgasm has 5 surprising health benefits.

Today is National Orgasm Day, and to celebrate we're giving you Health reasons why you should be taking a joyride to "Orgasmland" more often.

A number of international studies have spanned the entire sexual spectrum: from the emotional benefits of kissing and cuddling to the longer-lasting benefits of having 200 Orgasms a year. But what about the less-widely known biological benefits of the human orgasm?

Healthy Choice-Making
For years, pop culture has projected lighting up a cigarette to be a ubiquitous post-coital ritual, but some studies show that orgasms can act as a regulator when it comes to appetite and cravings.

Throughout intercourse, the body produces phenethylamine, a natural amphetamine that may help to reduce cravings for junk food, cigarettes and overeating.

Preventative Care
As the old sporting adage goes, the best offense is a good defense, and the same goes for your health.

According to researchers at Wilkes University, people who have regular sex were found to have higher levels of immunoglobulin A, or IgA, an antibody that fends off infection.

In addition, men who have orgasms at least five times a week are at a lower risk for prostate cancer – even less so if prostate massage is involved.

Headache Relief
The clichéd ‘Not tonight – I have a headache’ excuse is valid no more.

According to scientists, the hypothalamus region of the brain – a small, cone-shaped area connected to the pituitary gland and targeted by headaches – experiences activity during orgasm.

As an added bonus, arousal and orgasm increases the amount of oxytocin in your system, which causes your pituitary gland to release endorphins—peptides that dull pain and trigger feelings of well-being.

Lighter Periods
Your uterus will contract during orgasm, and this helps eradicate cramp-causing compounds and expel blood and tissue. More contractions mean shorter periods with fewer cramps.

Helpful tip: When having sex during your period, stick to the missionary position – your flow is lighter when you’re horizontal.

Glowing Skin
Due to a post-orgasm endorphin rush and increased blood and oxygen circulation, your skin reaps some beautiful benefits from the bump and grind.

The “sex glow”, as some call it, is in part also caused by your body’s release of (deep breath, now) dehydroepiandrosterone, or DHEA, which promotes healthy skin and improves your complexion.

Now that you've read these 5 surprising health benefits of orgasm, are you going to increase your orgasm rate? Let us hear you.

Healthy Lifestyle: Breast Reduction Surgery Increases Quality of Life - BREAST-Q Study
Healthy Lifestyle: Breast Reduction Surgery Increases Quality of Life - BREAST-Q Study

Different strokes for different folks. While some women are getting breast implant to increase the size of their breast, others with a sense of healthy lifestyle are doing the opposite. I wonder if men loves big or small breast.

WonderWoman has this post about the Health Benefits Of Breast Reduction Surgery. According to the a new study, breast reduction surgery produces measurable improvements in several important areas of health and quality of life.

The study used the BREAST-Q questionnaire, a well-validated survey instrument, to document the physical and psychosocial health benefits of breast reduction surgery.

"The improvement in physical well-being is important for justification of insurance coverage," according to the paper by Dr. Michelle Coriddi and colleagues of Wexner Medical Center at the Ohio State University, Columbus.

The study was designed to evaluate and confirm the benefits of breast reduction surgery-one of the most commonly performed breast plastic surgery procedures.

Previous studies have found it highly effective in relieving symptoms related to overly large breasts.

The BREAST-Q was used to obtain a more complete picture of the clinical outcomes and is "the only questionnaire to assess breast reduction outcomes that meets international and federal standards for questionnaire development," according to Dr. Coriddi and coauthors.

In a series of 49 patients undergoing breast reduction, 78 percent anonymously completed the BREAST-Q before and/or after surgery.

Changes in patient-reported satisfaction and quality of life after breast reduction were assessed.

Independent Woman: Ladies Create Your Own Identity And Raise Your Worth
I got this off my friends wall on Facebook I find it very interesting.

"My boyfriend works at..."

"My boyfriend is a..."

"My boyfriend drives a..."

"My boyfriend lives in..."

"My boyfriend owns..."

These are phrases we must eliminate from our vocabulary, ladies. We must arrive at a point where our boyfriends do not define who we are. A woman of substance does not allow herself to be defined by who her man is, she creates an identity for herself. And creating that identity does not mean competing with her man, it means architecting a path uniquely for herself. Your man may be rich and powerful, a respected businessman. You need not be a rich businesswoman, you can still choose a path that is aligned to your passion, even if it's not something that will make of you a millionaire, yet still be able to make a mark in the space that you occupy.

We must protect our relationships, but not at the expense of ourselves. We must refuse to let men dictate terms to us, terms which seek to divert us from our own passions, from designing our own legacies. A man who insists that you stop doing what you love is not worthy of you. A man who gets angry when you build your own legacy does not deserve you. If you are passionate about civil society and a man tells you to quit being an activist for his sake, he's not worthy of you. Men who want to dim our lights are unworthy of our love. And ourselves too must never make compromises for men, where our own growth and identity is concerned. No relationship is worth sacrificing your identity for. But for men to take us seriously, we must take ourselves seriously.

It begins with not being trophies of men. It begins with refusing to be reduced to subordinate roles where we have no identity outside that of our men. We must do what defines us. If you are a writer, then write. If you are a poet then perform. Whatever you are, let the world know you for that. Let your partner not complete you, but rather, complement you. Let the world know you as who you are, not who you are sleeping with. When someone asks who you are, let the response be about YOU. The worst thing that can happen to a woman is that when someone asks who she is, the response is: "You don't know her? She is the girlfriend of the director of x, y, z..." We must make our mark as women, not be defined by who our men are, where they work, what they have achieved and what they have. Women of substance don't assume men's identities, they create their own.

My Opinion
The bitter truth most women are so materialistic that you can actually extract materialism from their DNA nothing will remain. They want to look like Beyoncé but they don’t have any desire whatsoever to work like Beyoncé. So they look a veritable Man of Steel or in this case Man of Materialism to latch unto. Guys on the other hand sadly exploit women for this. They know once they make money women will naturally flock around them like ants to sugar. So most guys simply forget about women and focus on money like rappers MOB (Money Over B*tches).

A woman must come to a relationship with something valuable to offer and not just to be redecorated by the man. However she should also know who the head in the relationship is. Once a woman starts acting or behaving like she is the one with two balls, the relationship is instantly doomed.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with a woman's identity being connected to his man's success and vice versa. Success should be collectively celebrated together.

Most women don't get it that success is not sexually transmitted. But with time and some painful experience they do.

Still there are some really decent women out there. Shout out to all of them

It's Your Turn To Shine - Open Heaven of Wednesday 31st July 2013, Bible Study
IT’S YOUR TURN TO SHINE BY PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE

Memorise:
He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame. Proverbs 10:5

Read:
Psalms 102:12-13
But thou, O LORD, shalt endure for ever; and thy remembrance unto all generations. Psalms 102:12

Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come. Psalms 102:13

Open Heavens Message
“Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.”
Psalms 102:13
There is a time for everything under Heaven. One reason you should arise and shine is because the time for you to shine is now. You might have been playing church all along but now is the time to shine. The best time to do something is at the time that is most appropriate for it. If you get married before the appropriate time, there will be lots of issues bordering your maturity and expectations. A particular young girl was given out in marriage by her parent to a mature man who sponsored her to one of the tertiary institutions.

While there, she saw no sense in living with so many dos of and don’ts. She wondered why she could not be free to go to parties, roam around from joint to joint like her colleagues and just live a carefree life. Several times the man reminded her that she was no more a single girl but a married lady, and that she should shun youthful lusts, but she saw these as some form of bondage. She resisted and before long, the relationship parked up.

“He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.”
Proverbs 10:5
It is a crime to sleep in summer. It is wrong for you to be sleeping or to be resting at ease while other believers are out in the field winning souls. It is wrong to fold your arms or pretend not to notice what is going on when others are busy giving towards the building of your church. It is possible that you can hide or your lack of participation is unnoticed, yet the result will be evident to all.

You cannot reap what you did not sow, so it is only wise for you to sow what you expect to reap. This is your time to shine. Some people are just waiting to see you shine. If only you can shine now, you will be able to ignite the fire in the lives of others. What is stopping you from shinning now? Put it off and shine for your time has come!

Bible In One Year:
Deuteronomy 32-34

Prayer Point
Father, from today and until I take my last breath on earth, help me to shine.

Sin Is A Bad Painter – RCCG Open Heavens Devotional Tuesday day 30th July 2013, Prayer Point, Bible Study, God's Forgiveness
SIN IS A BAD PAINTER BY PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE
Memorise:
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

Read:
Mark 2:1-12

(Mark 2:1) And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.

(Mark 2:2) And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.

(Mark 2:3) And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.

(Mark 2:4) And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.

(Mark 2:5) When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.

(Mark 2:6) But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,

(Mark 2:7) Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God only?

(Mark 2:8) And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?

(Mark 2:9) Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?

(Mark 2:10) But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)

(Mark 2:11) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.

(Mark 2:12) And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

Open Heavens Message
''And God saw everything that he made, behold, it was very good. And the evening and morning were the six day.'' Genesis 1:31

The above scripture speaks of the events that occurred at the beginning, when God created the Heaven and earth. He examined all He made and they were very good. There was sickness, sorrow or lack. All you could find was blessing, fruitfulness, multiplication, longevity, dominion and abundance. But that was before the advent of sin. From Genesis 3:16-19 after man fell, his fall gave rise to several negative things that never existed until then - curses, painful conception and delivery, sorrow, sweat, hardship, etc.

What was once very good became very bad when sin came in. There is a link between sin and everything evil. This also tells us that sin can change the colour of events, situations and circumstances from bright beautiful colours to dark and repulsive ones. Believe it or not, sin paints your today and tomorrow in colours you detest

Sin is a very powerful force. It is so powerful that it conquered the whole of the human race. It changed the bright and glorious outlook of the earth. According to Psalm 107:17-18 it brought sickness and affliction. Bondage, failure and helplessness also came because of sin (Psalm 107:10-12). What of barrenness and poverty? Psalm 107:33-34 confirms that these came through sin, hence Romans 6:23 concludes that sin always delivers death to sinners.

As powerful as sin is, forgiveness comes, it even much more powerful. When forgiveness comes, it is able to restore the bright pictures of your life, which were lost to sin. Forgiveness turns the tide of the life and destiny of a sinner. In today’s reading, when the paralyzed man was brought before the Lord, He forgave him his sins and thereafter, helplessness, sorrow, sickness disappeared and healing was delivered. Are you in need of a miracle from God but you are still living in sin? Immediately acknowledge your sins, confess them and ask for God’s forgiveness, then invite Jesus into your heart

Bible In One Year:
Deuteronomy 29-31

Prayer Point:
Father, every negative colour sin has painted my life and destiny with, change it into something glorious

Leading With God's Fear – RCCG Open Heavens Devotional Monday 29th July 2013, Action Point, Bible Study, Spirituality, God's Fear
LEADING WITH GOD'S FEAR BY PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE

Memorise:
The God of Israel Said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God. 2 Samuel 23:3

Read:
2 Samuel 23:1-4

(2 Samuel 23:1) Now these be the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said,

(2 Samuel 23:2) The Spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word was in my tongue.

(2 Samuel 23:3) The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.

(2 Samuel 23:4) And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.

Open Heavens Message
In Exodus 1:15-21, a Pharoah who did not know Joseph came on board and passed a decree to kill all male Israelites that were born. we see here that ---link--power must be balanced---link--- with fear of God for it to be productive. It occurred to me that if we leave the government of our nation in the hands of someone who lacks the fear of God, we are all bound to pay dearly for it. Even unborn children and many innocent people will suffer for it. This is why we should obey 1 Timothy 2:1-3. Verse 2 of that scripture says we should pray,

''For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we live a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty''

That means the level of peace and quiet we experience in our nation is a function of number of quality prayers rendered on behalf of our leaders. Some believers tell you they are not interested in politics. They do not care who rules over them. Yet, they complain of excessive taxation, bribery and corruption, and misrule of such leaders. If you do not pray for those who lead you, then you have lost your right to complain. Beside those in secular government, you must equally prayerfully determine who becomes your next General Overseer, Senior Pastor or Pastor. If the wrong fellow takes up any of these ecclesiastical positions, you will surely suffer. Pray that God will never allow anyone who lacks the fear of God to rule over you. This also applies to the one who you accept to be your husband. If he lacks the fear of God, that home is doomed. Wake up today and start to pray! You would be amazed how much you can achieve through prayer. Your prayer can affect who governs you. Use this power to get the appropriate candidate that will bring joy to and it will be well with you. As a student, you can prayerfully ask for your right teacher, lecturer or supervisor that will be instrumental to your success. Start to ask the Lord for a leader with the fear of God from now on.

Bible In One Year:
Deuteronomy 26-28

Action Point:
A leader who fears God is accountable to God and the people under him or her. Ask that only such leaders will govern your life and nation from now on.

DANGER OF SILENCE BY PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE

Memorise:
call unto me and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. Jeremiah 33:3

Read:
2 Kings 4:1-7

(2 King 4:1) Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.

(2 King 4:2) And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.

(2 King 4:3) Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.

(2 King 4:4) And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.

(2 King 4:5) So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out.

(2 King 4:6) And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.

(2 King 4:7) Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.

There are several lessons to be learnt from the Shunammite woman in 2 Kings 4:18-26, one of these is that in her time of need, she cried persistently for help until she got it. Another aspect for which she must commended is that when her son died, she did not immediately set out for the man of God but she first exercised her faith by placing the boy on the bed of the man of God. It was when the matter was beyond her faith that she set out to meet the man of God.

Today, many Christians are very lazy. They hardly exercise their faith in times of crisis. They used to calling one person or the other over most trivial matter. What happens if there is a crisis and there is no one you can call? Start trusting in the Lord. god wants you to grow. If only you can exercise your faith, no matter how small, it will begin to grow.

When the boy failed to wake up the bed of the man of God, she decided to take the matter to the man of God himself. Sighting her from afar, Elisha sent Gehazi his servant to her but she failed to disclose her problem to him. This raises the question of credibility and integrity. If as a minister of God people cannot share confidential matters with you, it may be that you rate quite low in integrity. If you are loose tongued and what is shared with you in secret filters out, and probably become common knowledge, then you will end up overseeing strangers. Are you trustworthy as a leader?

Moreover when she got to the man of God, she grabbed his feet, resolving not to leave him. The reason many people are still nursing their problem is because they are too quiet. If you keep quiet God will assume that you are enjoying the situation and He too will be silent on the matter. A widow of one of the sons of the prophets had a serious financial problem that could have led to her untimely death but she kept quiet. It was when she cried out that God arose for her. What situation are you or your family in? Cry out today and the Lord will come to your rescue.

Bible In One Year:
Deuteronomy 23-25

Key Point:
It is your outcry that tells God that you truly need what He thought you needed
