Temptation And Relaxation Sunday April 14 2013
The good Lord woke me early. I put together things I needed for service today. Caesar invited me to their church today for a special cultural Sunday. It’s a once in a year service. They serve buffet of magnificent array of mouth-watering finger-licking Nigerian dishes after the service. I have a workers-in-training class in my church. I didn't want to miss my class and I didnt want to just go for the food without attending the service itself. Otherwise I would've gone to Caesar's church immediately after my workers-in-training class.

The class went well. So did the service. As I was heading home from church I called Caesar to touch bass with him. He said if I can make it to their church in ten minutes then I can meet the buffet. Of course thats beside the point, I have no interest to start rushing to VIM at that point. I sent him a text after the call to bring me some takeaway.

We planned to go swimming today at Orchid Hotel, I asked him to let me know once he gets home so I can come join them. He called me suddenly to hurry up to a rendezvous so we can go swimming. That wasnt the plan na!! He didnt call me when he was on his way back, neither did he call me when he got home. He probably forgot. I changed hurriedly and grabbed my swimming kit. He was already getting impatient waiting for me. If only he had told me on time.

Temptation And Relaxation Sunday April 14 2013
Today's swimming hang out was out of the ordinary, we were more than seven in number. Tony went with us in company of one other guy. Austin, and Caesar's girlfriend Blessing also came. Another guy their church member came as well. They all came from the church and made fun of me not showing up for the much publicized traditional church service. Caesar wasnt really disappointed and unhappy that I didnt come. I tried to explain to him, thats the best I could do.

The pool was relative empty at first, but gradually it started filling up. He paid for my swimming. We had fun. There were cute chics in the pool today. there was this particular one with killer figure but not with a killer face. She and her sister turned out to be very friendly. Austin was just all over her. Well its all part of the fun. They were Nigerians but grew up in France, sorta like tourist to Nigeria.

Finally the fun had to come to an end. Did i forget to mention we came with our own drinks, but we got a word from the management that its not really allowed especially if the hotel sells the drink we came with.
The idea of opening a joint business click and venturing first into the food industry was mooted by Caesar. Tony bought the idea, so did myself and one other guy that came (I have forgotten his name).

We went home afterwards. I showered, ate. Eventually I kissed my pillow and bid the night farewell.

Prayer And Sanitation Saturday April 13 2013

Next was bible study. I felt so sleepy during the bible reading and preaching session. Already I was feeling sleepy as I left the house. They provided coffee to keep one awake. I don’t really like coffee so I didn’t want to take. Later when prayer was about to start I followed others in taking coffee just for the sake of it. Then we prayed. We prayed. We prayed some more. And we prayed. I have never prayed for so long in my life before. I’m still learning. I made mistakes a few times, or forgot words I want to say a few moments, etc. I kept going.

I couldn’t tell if it was the creation called caffeine that kept me awake, which I doubt or the energetic praying mood, which I believe. Finally the prayer came to an end. Time check 3:00 am Saturday morning. I wanted to run today. All workers-in-training members have been integrated into the sanitation department and sanitation is done every Saturday by 7:00 am. There is no way I will be able to run and meet up with sanitation on Saturdays! That means I have to forfeit one. But today we did the sanitation right after the prayer.

It was 3:50 am when I went home to catch at least 2 hours sleep before I head to Lekki to run. I set my alarm to that effect. Brethren, the 2 hour sleep turned into 5 hours. I don’t even know how or when I turned off the alarm. I guess it just wasn’t meant to be. I ate breakfast a little later. I ate "African wackis" garri and egusi soup. I slept and slept and slept. I stayed indoors throughout the day.

I’m alive. I realized this around 5:00am today. I ironed and read my devotional. I showered and left for work. I got to the gate, lo and behold I had left with no dime on me, jeez! That woulda been disastrous. I went back and collected some cash. I got to work early. Ifeanyi came in later. My boss was nowhere to be found. I thought he went for one of those meetings. He came much later. He sent me out with the driver to cash a cheque and duplicate some documents.

On our way back I bought food. I found out that hr pays the driver more than myself, it kinda pissed me off. Honestly the act is within the neighbourhood of what he is capable of. This is not the first time he'll do such time. I wonder what value he places on me. I am so determined to move on right now. I need and must find another source of livelihood. Without realizing it I found myself doing an audit of myself. I wasn’t too impressed regardless of the fact some people somewhere envies my achievement will give anything to be me.

Ifeanyi's cousin was throwing party, sorta like a spinster eve party tonight cuz his elder sister will be getting married tomorrow so road warriors were invited. Unfortunately I won’t go. I have a church night vigil to attend. I want spend quality time in the presence of the lord my maker and redeemer. My boss asked me to pray for wisdom to grow myself in addition to whatever I pray for. I really wished I didn’t have a vigil to attend, well God first. Gradually the day came to an end. I went home. I ate garri and egusi soup, it’s been a while since I last ate such meal.

There's new song I downloaded by The Scripts titled 'If You Could See Me Now', I have been banging the song. At some point in the middle of the song I got really emotional when I remembered my late dear lovely sister and tears just clouded my vision. I never shed a tear when she died nor during the burial. As a matter of fact I hardly shed tears when some dies. My heart will just be in pain but tears won’t leave my eyes. So three years after she The Script got me shed tears for my late sister through their song. I wonder dear sis, oh if you can see me now....

I gave my emotional high a few moments to come/calm down before I continued playing the song. I showered and chilled at home for a while before heading to church around 10:30pm. This was my first night vigil ever since I started my life. The vigil starts by 11:00pm. The opening prayer and praise/worship lasted from 11:00pm to 12:00am. Technically Friday has ended.

I’m up early. These days I wake up early and go to work early as well. I did my ritual and left for work. This week is loaded with chain of meetings and the venue is off site. Ifeanyi came to office later. Today's meeting does not involve him. We talked about this and that.

We talk about his mobile chat messenger project, I helped fine-tune the ideas here and there, spirituality and paranormal activities, etc. He asked me what stake I want in his mukatuka project. I didn’t know what figure or what to give him. He said how about giving me N100million over three years. I said that’s cool I don’t mind at all. From where I’m sitting that’s a good deal. He said it was the same stake as that of his cousin Emeka. Ever since he set out on the project I have always bantered the idea with him, which helped in a way in the shaping project towards reality. We did little office work. He left later cuz he was feeling a bit feverish. MD came to the office briefly around five o'clock.

I went to withdraw N1000 from one of my account that has only N1800. As a matter of fact the only money I have now. The unexpected happened. I went to a Zenith Bank atm machine, I have a Gtbank atm card. The took way too long to process. I kept staring at the message ''Transaction in Progress'' and the blinking ''please wait'' message till my eyes soured. I was a bit impatient I guess. I haven’t experienced such before. I breezed in the bank to company. The guy I met was like scolding me for coming to complain instead of waiting for the transaction to complete. I saw it as malfunction or something, I never experienced such long delay before. The guy said network could be bad that’s why its taking eternity to process.

As I was heading back sms alert of the transaction hit my phone. My heart sank. I reached the atm and someone was already using it. I told him I left a transaction there, he said he didn’t see anything. Now don’t panic. Worst case scenario my atm card is gone too. The cash is a forgone conclusion. The guy I met was checking his balance and I saw it was N123. I thought to myself someone who has only N123 in his account won't mind picking N1000 that dropped in his lap. Then I could be wrong. Could it be the atm retracted the cash? I highly doubt it. Anybody walking past the atm machine can easily pick the cash. I went back in the bank to get my card assuming the atm machine retracted it. It took a while before the bank resolved the issue.

At this point I don’t have a dime on me no pun intended. My boss asked me to meet him at Radisson Blu Hotel, I took a cab to the hotel. The cabman waited outside while I went in collected the cab fare from my boss. I went to the bank to cash a cheque then to Shoprite and finally back to the office. Considerable time was spent to accomplish all this. Late in the evening when I wanted to go home, my boss called again asking me to bring some items to him somewhere in Victoria Island.

I was not happy about it cuz what he asked me to do can EASILY be done by the driver. If the driver thought the same, it was just a waste of my time, I was even about leaving for the day. I went after all. He gave me a grand for transport, I guess that covers the one grand I lost. I went home after a few delays at the bus stop.

6 Things Men Find Difficult To Say To Their Woman
Not all men have the gift of the gab. There are some who are born talkers, and you’ll usually find them selling soap, cars or campaign promises. The other kind—the stoic, prudent, silent type—can be found leading by example, or writing a column in a popular fortnightly supplement for women, or suspect in a number of serial killings, sometimes all three at once!

But whether a salesman, politician, column writer or serial killer, there are certain things that all men find hard to say…

1. I Love You

This most clichéd of clichés has been thrown around carelessly by teenagers with questionable levels of maturity and guys—also with questionable levels of maturity—just itching to get laid. But really meaning it? It’s the kind of statement that gets our hearts racing, our palms sweating, and our minds wondering: “Will she say it too?”, “Will she just say thank you?”, “Didn’t that happen on Friends?” Ultimately, it’s just blurted out at the unlikeliest of moments, like when India wins the final, he opens his birthday gift and it’s a PS3, or the meal was that good.

2. This Isn't Working Out
This one probably tops the list. Men generally shy away from bringing up relationship issues, especially this quiet relationship killer. The reason doesn’t matter. All that matters is not making a big deal of it. And not letting her cry. It’s a man’s inability to handle tears that makes it the best offence a woman has against him. Men have stayed in relationships for years just out of the fear of having to be the one to initiate a break-up.

3. That Doesn’t Look Good On You
We’re no experts in the fashion or hair departments, and we’ve never pretended to be. So we’re not quite sure what you mean when you ask us, “Does this suit me?” You’re bound to get a positive answer even if you’re wearing a barrel held in place with suspenders. This is partly because, who knows, maybe that does suit you; and partly because we’re truly afraid of the backlash in the wake of our dissent.

4. I Need Some Space
When you’re in a relationship, it’s expected that you’re supposed to want to spend every waking moment with your better half and every sleeping moment next to her too. But while many agree with the benefits of spending some time apart, no one seems to advertise it very well. While women have found ways of making space for themselves—men rarely realise ‘that time of the month’ comes twice a month—men find it hard to say they just need some alone time, or some time with the boys.

5. I Don't Like Hanging Out With Your Friends
So we’ve taken you out with our friends only to get popcorn in your hair, beer in your lap and the odd splotch of ketchup on your shirt. And then you ask us to join your friends for a more civilised dinner. We shouldn’t have an issue with it. But, sometimes, all we’re looking for is a relaxed night out with familiar faces—which none of your friends seem to have. It’s not that they’re horrible people. It’s just that if we got along, they’d be our friends by now.

6. Yes. You're Right
Handling egos in a relationship is a tough job. And when it’s coupled with an argument, the ship can sway any which way. We’ll admit it: we’re wrong most of the time. But being wrong so often can take its toll on our egos. And that’s probably when we find it hardest to say, “You’re right.” So once in a while, allow us a silent acknowledgement of defeat. It would mean a lot to us.

God woke me at the first ring of my alarm at 5:00am. I had very sound sleep. I watched Inuyasha a few episodes. I read my open heaven devotional. But I wasn’t feeling anything like going to work. I feel like soaking away at the Bahamas or Monte Carlos, you know what I mean. I’m sure you do. I showered for work and suddenly without warning, the sky turned dark and it started raining. Oh mehn God moves in a mysterious ways his wonders to perform.

After showering I just sat back at home and relaxed in my imaginary luxurious, refreshing vacation spot located in my room. I wonder when the rain will stop. Do I want it to stop? I don’t know. It got so cold that I truly envied those who are happily married. Of course if one's girlfriend was around, it would've been wonderful being wrapped in each other's arms. The rain persisted till around 12:00 noon. I left for around 12:30, it was still drizzling.

Mr. Ugo apparently went for a meeting elsewhere that I didn’t know of. He came back late to the office. at home Amara prepared spaghetti which we all ate. The chili in the spaghetti was extra extra hot and spicy. The burning sensation in my mouth was just what I wanted.
