The lines above is the lyrics from one of Bob Marley's numerous songs titled Sun Is Shining
"Sun is shining, the weather is sweet
Makes you wanna move your dancing feet"

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), has warned that there will be severe weather and heavy rainfall in Lagos tomorrow Tuesday June 18th.

NEMA spokesperson, Ibrahim Farinloye, said the early warning is based on alerts received from the African Centre of Meteorological Applications for Development based in Niamey, Niger Republic.
He said:
“In Nigeria, Lagos and its environs are expected to experience torrential rainfall from about 50 mm 24h: Confidence medium means that all stakeholders must be prepared to take all precautionary steps against leaving the warning unattended......blah blah blah"
The NEMA warning at least shows some people work in that agency. It's good they warned before hand, Im glad it wasn't like Noah's warning of flood. I look out my window and the sun is shining. Yes it rained earlier, not heavy by any ramification. That goes to show you that man propose, God laughs and then dispose!

However I have one issue with the source of that warning. Seriously NEMA went to Niger Republic to get a reading on Nigerian weather?! What is NEMA Nigeria doing? Let me guess PHCN didn't give them power to do the work. Could it be the road to their office is bad so they went to Niger Republic. Just like we fly to foreign countries for good medical treatment? Is it the same reason why we import even common toothpicks? Let's hope they didn't come back with excess luggage of terrorist as evidence insurgence activities points in that direction.

I liken it to President Jonathan running to Niger Republic president to rule Nigeria with the resources of Niger Republic. That is ridiculous. I don't if the body is  African Centre of Meteorological Applications for Development, Nigeria claiming GIANT of AFRICA should have it's reliable effective and efficient Meterological Institute.

Trust me some countries of Africa or non African believe Nigeria is the GIANT of AFRICA but in a negative sense. Please fix our own meteorological institute and forecast correctly from it next time. Thats my opinion which I'm entitled to.

Nigeria; good people, great nation

Monday June 10 2013
Monday Morning, I landed my 5:00am alarm a technical knock and continued my sleep. That move might've been influenced by the fact that I won't go to work today. My eyes opened again around 5:35am then I remembered a new church program introduced during yesterday service. It's called 'Command The Morning.' It's a one hour morning prayers session from 6:00am to 7:00am. I decided to give it a trial since I’m not rushing to work this morning. Even if I was going to work I can still make it. I went and it was worth it. I didn't do my personal morning prayers again. As soon as I marched inside, PHCN restored power.

I instantly ceremoniously buried myself in my laptop. Yeah I'm working from home. I browsed the internet corner to corner looking for blog tips. First I searched for a nice seo enabled 3-column cute blogger template/theme for my blog. I didn't see any. The place was cluttered with 2 column seo templates. I just love 3-column. I even googled the merit and demerit of each type of template. Not much difference. I just love the look of 3-column and it's good for ads. I found some other tips about seo. Mehn there's so much to learn about blogging. My blogging approach is still that of an expert novice. I'm torn between full commitment and other handicaps like internet subscription, power supply, time, etc. I'm also in the dilemma of defining my niche and suitable keywords.

I explored the web in depth with an incredible rapt attention that defies ordinary understanding till around 3:28pm. Holy Smokes! The banks will soon close. That was when I remembered I needed to withdraw the double wire transfer Victory sent me via Skye Bank. I have two money transfer cash I'm yet to collect. On the triple I hurried out of the house. Luckily a Skye Bank is close by. Still I have to go through two different modes of transportation to get there. The bike weren't forthcoming. I was so restless. The lord finally sent me a bike, we sailed through the flooded road to the main express. The buses took their time which I don't have before pulling up at the bus stop. I kept checking the time every few seconds.

Yaaay! I made it to the bank by 3:43pm. This is my second time of coming to this particular branch of Skye Bank for bank transaction. I picked up two money transfer forms for my purpose. Skye Bank calls it Flitcash A snag appeared as I filled out the forms. I don’t remember Victory’s address! My phone won’t browse for me to get the info from my email. The bank won’t overlook that detail since I don’t have an account with them. In my flustered state it never occurred to me to call Victory for his address. Luckily one of the bank staff suggested it. I called it went straight to voicemail, great! I left him a short voice message. I asked if the wire transfer expires after a certain time but they didn’t provide any useful answer. I must withdraw this cash today no matter what!

My God wasn’t on vacation, He never is. Victory called me back and gave me the address, guess what. It was different from the address I wanted to get from my email! I collected the wire transfer in the end. I stopped at Ojomu for beverages. I went home, I went on to inform Victory that I’ve collected the money, I went nowhere else for the day.

Beloveth, Being A Church Worker Is Worthy Cause
Sunday June 09 2013
I think I remember shutting up my two phones as the 5:00am alarms went off like most of you do. Those irritating noise, they shouldn't just test me now for their own good. The next time I looked at the clock it was 6:20am! What?! I'm supposed to be in church by 6:55am for church workers meeting! How could I have overslept on a day like this? We all know the answer to that irrelevant rhetoric. I hurried like I've never hurried before. My nickname today should be Flash. I made it to church before 7:00am. What a relief. We had a church workers meeting before the service proper. Today was a thanksgiving service. It was wonderful

Finally The Redeem Christian Church Of God Light Of The World Parish has posted us the new church workers to different departments. I was posted to the Ushering and Sanitation Department as my Primary and Secondary departments respectively. We are yet to be officially presented to the congregation as church workers. I had wanted to be in the technical but it’s all good. I have no problem with the departments I found myself except I'm not much of a suit and tie person. As a matter of fact I have only one suit and a couple of ties. Lara was like I'm tall, handsome and suitably qualified for the ushering department. She was posted to the Technical and Evangelism Departments. I went home.

I slept first. I slept off in the middle of writing this entry. It would've been creepily nice if I continued in my dreams. A knock on the door ended my sleep. It was Deborah, another church worker. She came for the package she put in my fridge last night. I grabbed my laptop to surf the web and check my mails. I wanted to prepare sometime but once I get glued to the web and its informative as it's usually is, every other emotions is overrode. I was still online when Caesar came over.

This is the second time he has come to my place after my roomies started sleeping somewhere else. He never showed up when they were around. He was quick to point out the greasy look my room aesthetic wore as opposed to the shiny, fresh and clean look it was before the arrival of my roomies. We spent some time at my place then hit the spar to pick a few things. I picked an Adidas deodorant. He picked some drinks. I drove on our way back but we switched again when we got to the flooded road. I don't know where the potholes are so I don't want us to get stuck. The gist flowed nonstop till we got to his place.

Blessing prepared a hot meal for us. It was semo and ogbono soup. Blessing is a church worker in her church. I'm not friendly with ogbono soup. I haven't eaten it outside my house before. Well my stomach took the decision against all my protest. Should I say my protest fell on deaf stomach or empty stomach? The ogbono soup had a little bitter leaf in it hence the bitter taste. I finished and thanked them. Caesar gave a wheat wafer, sorta like baked cornflakes. I went home to warm my bed.

The Best Place For Affordable Grocery Shopping And Avoid Terrible Traffic
The Best Place For Affordable Grocery Shopping And Avoid Terrible Traffic
Saturday June 08 2013
My boss is heading to Abuja today. Normally that ain't my business until I was tasked to accompany the driver back and keep the car keys. He asked last night to come around 10:00am today for the task. I lazed about in the house before leaving. I got there on time and wasted some precious 45 minutes or so before he came out. We dropped him off at the airport. There was dead silence in the car most of the way to Murtala Mohammed Airport Terminal 2. I preferred it that way. Sometimes you just wanna enjoy the sounds of silence. It's a soul soothing music. I'm thinking of the affordable grocery shopping I will do later.

I was feeling sleepy for some reason. My boss was feeling sleepy too. I wonder if the driver felt sleepy too cuz that will be dangerous. We went to Ebeano Supermarket to buy some items as directed by my boss. This supermarket is the best place for affordable grocery shopping within Lekki Phase 1. Some people don't do grocery shopping at Shoprite because of the toll and traffic. Suddenly without warning whatsoever rain started pounding our corner of earth. Rain always causes unusual traffic. The traffic was even evident in the supermarket car park as cars shuffled in and out of parking lots.

One woman was just causing unnecessary traffic due to her usefully useless stubbornness plus she can't drive well. On the flip side she was avoiding scratching her brand new purple Toyota Prado. She was blocking us and other cars, somehow Godwin got a way around it and we left. We dropped the items bought plus the car at the house, the rain was still drizzling. Godwin comes to work on his motor bike. He gave me a ride home.

I branched at Ojomu market for grocery shopping. Spontaneous shopping took over and I spent more than planned. Lara waltzed into same provision store where I was. We exchanged warm pleasantries. She just picked one item and left. I still haven't bought the major item that brought me to the market. I have to check on a different line for that. I got it eventually. I bought some items that I didn't budget. I took a bike home. The ride home is like jet skiing cuz of the flood. Caesar was just leaving my apartment when I got. I dropped my grocery shopping bags and went back to Lekki with him.

We went to see a friend of his who happened to be sister to Anita who is Paul Okoye of PSquare's girlfriend. We hung out. We grabbed a deeply satisfying lunch from Bukka Hut in Lekki, their price is affordable. They ate rice and I committed suicide like Bright Chimezie's song which means I ate garri lol! I ate the garri with edikangikong soup, it was very lovely. If I eat three square meals here every day, you won't recognize me! We went back to the house of Anita. She just rented the place so they are still moving stuffs furniture and fittings gradually. We spent some time chitchatting till evening before I left them. I was still feeling sleepy. I had to sleep before my system crashes. I sleep to my heart and soul content.

Working From Home, Family Are On Vacation
Friday June 07 2013
Here is a little weather class about Nigeria. We have two major seasons in Nigeria which is the Rainy/Wet and Dry/Harmattan season. Simply put, rainy season brings the rain and the dry season brings no rain hence dryness/dust and harmattan. We are in the rainy season now. The intensity of the rain and harmattan varies from region to region. Lagos is a notorious flood prone state. Its rain can be a real pain in the axx. The rain comes down and the flood goes up. It rained heavily last night. Honestly I didn't know how much it rained till I went outside......and the waters covered the sea. So if you want to enjoy Lekki, be wary of the season.

The rain was indeed heavy! I must go to work regardless, whether by boat or submarine since I don't have a car yet. I wore rain boots and waded jungle style through the flood, past the flood to Doc's shop where I changed back to my normal shoes and hit the road. Ifeanyi was driving out as I was coming in. He was playing his music at usual loud volume though his windows are tight shut. Personally, I don't like putting my eardrums through tremendous stress of very loud volume. It is torture. Besides its a health hazard as it can cause hearing loss. We went to MD's house, that will be work office today.

Work From Home, Family on Vacation
My boss' family travelled so his once rowdy house was very conducive for intellectual work. Family is a lovely thing but can be a distraction when you want to work from home. i think I need me a vacation with the family too. We ate breakfast and lunch at the house, call it benefits of working from the house. We had a real long discussion regarding mostly Ifeanyi's rent and mine.

My boss made some comments which I found a bit improper. Ifeanyi didn't take them lightly too. Cuz by the time he got home, he sent a resignation letter via email. I'm gonna miss him, he's a nice guy. I did a few bank runs and back. I worked on the presentation again with my boss and got a better copy. I'm 100% sure by tomorrow it won't look very good to him. I went home. I went straight home not branching anywhere besides where I bought suya. I ate my suya and viju milk and dozed off.

Kim Kardashian Delivers A Baby Girl 5 Weeks Earlier, PregnancyPregnancy, Parenting, Motherhood
Online media sites have reported that Kim Kadarshian has given birth to a baby girl. Howcome the baby arrived 5 weeks ahead of schedule?

According to TMZ Kim Kardashian has given birth to a baby girl ... TMZ has learned. Sources close to KK tell TMZ the baby and Kim are both in good health. We're told Kim delivered the baby at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center this morning (Saturday June 15th)... 5 weeks sooner than originally planned.

Our sources say BF Kanye West was there for the entire thing. We're told Kanye cancelled his appearance at his own record release party last night when Kim told him she was feeling "a little off." It is the first child for Kim and Kanye.

Does it mean the baby is premature or they lied to us about the pregnancy due date?

Kanye West Latest Album Release Titled Yeezus Is Brilliantly Bizarre And "Illuminati"
West has described Yeezus’ musical style as “trap and drill and house,” but it sounds more like a mixture of ‘90s industrial rock—think Nine Inch Nails—and ambient-electronica, e.g. Aphex Twin. The French electronic duo Daft Punk produced four tracks on the album and if their latest LP, Random Access Memories—a breezy ode to the funky ‘70s—goes down like a smooth daiquiri, Yeezus is like jungle juice.

Opening track “On Sight” kicks things off with a bang. Over thrashing sonic beats—that sound eerily similar to LFO’s “Freak,” which played during the opening credits of Gaspar Noe’s film Enter the Void (West had previously copied that film’s title sequence in his music video for “All of the Lights”), West raps, “Real nigga back in the house again / Black Tim’s all on your couch again / Black dick all in your spouse again.” A hazy choral interlude follows, followed by more nasty beats and acerbic lyrics. “On Sight” is the only potential club banger on an otherwise avant garde album.

Unlike his previous solo effort, 2011’s My Beautiful Dark Twisty Fantasy, this LP is devoid of radio-friendly anthems like “All of the Lights”; there are no coquettish hooks sung by Rihanna or any other chanteuses. They’ve been supplanted by, say, samples of Nina Simone crooning about lynching, as on the mesmerizing six-minute track “Blood on the Leaves,” which transforms the politically charged ballad “Strange Fruit” from an anti-lynching tune into a vitriolic ode to a star-fucking mistress.

“Black Skinhead” contains a galloping beat layered with heavy breathing, tribal drums, CAW! sounds, and lyrics tackling racism in Middle America. It’s last twenty seconds feature West grunting “God!” The influence of Rubin is most evident on

Yeezus sounds like nothing you’ve ever heard before. West started out as a producer, crafting songs like Jay-Z’s “Izzo (H.O.V.A.)” and Talib Kweli’s “Get By” before, by his own admission, becoming an overnight celebrity with Twista’s “Slow Jamz,” which he raps very slowly—and hesitantly—on. The production on Yeezusblows Random Access Memories out of the water. By assembling several mega-producers, including Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter, Skrillex, RZA, Rick Rubin—who did some last-minute tinkering, West’s mentor No I.D., and, of course, himself, each track is imbued with it’s own thrillingly unique sonic identity, yet all ten tracks still flow together to form a cohesive whole. In an era of singles, this is an album, and must be listened to all the way through.
