I woke with University of Lagos issue heavy on my mind. I woke up hail
and hearty as well. I thank The Lord. I sent a text to my boss that I will be fellowshipping
with UNILAG today, he said okay. Its the kinda decision you make and damn the
consequences. I had already approved it myself, I was just letting him know and
not for his approval.
I left for UNILAG around 10:00am. The road was fairly
free. I got to school, paid N10,000 for late registration. I signed my course
form with the bursary department and headed to MBA school Yaba. I have to sign
there and then go back to SPGS school in Unilag, they sure know how to drag
people around wasting their time. I was asked to come back by Friday to pick up
the form for the final signature at SPGS school.

I met Vincent a course mate
coincidentally he also scored 39 like me. He is retaking the course. He has
gotten some materials from where I anticipated getting it from. I went back to
the office afterwards.

I woke early, I intend going to work early too. I kept
drifting in and out of sleep till I finally got off the bed around seven. A
long epistle came from my boss detailing goals and target for today and this
week and urging us to come to work early, it wasn’t inspiring. It wasn’t
depressing either.
I went to work very early. Ifeanyi surprisingly came to work
early. Guess who came late? I mean very late. The boss of course. My task today
was mostly handling the visa, passport, plane ticket and embassy appointment
booking issues. I succeeded in doing all that. I wanted to go to school today
but because he's leaving for Abuja this evening I decided taking the whole
tomorrow will be best.
Later in the day his Abuja meeting was postponed till
the 8th, next week Monday so he didn’t go again today. My mind and plan for
tomorrow has already been made, nothing can change it I suppose. Zweli Nkosi
his South African partner was in town, he paid our office a visit.

Slowly but surely the year is running out. It was 1st
January 2013 a while ago, now its April fool's day. I didn’t plan to fool
anybody today. I don’t want to be fooled either. You know those days when you can’t
seem to get out of bed? Today was one of them for me. I slept and slept,
changed bed even. I broke the formidable sleep spell around 12:00am I think,
probably cuz my stomach starting growling. I ate chiki-chiki noodles.
I lazed
about the house. I needed to wash but I didn’t do that. I needed to see my friend
whom I couldn’t see yesterday. I must see him. The sun really tried to harvest
every drop of water from the atmosphere and grounds of earth. That discouraged
me. By the time I was ready to head out, it was around 3 o'clock and the sun
was busy illuminating and dehydrating the earth. I went on ahead. I saw him, we
spent a few hours playing catch up.
They live on the third floor, the view from
their front balcony is awesome. You see a few houses clustered around and a
vast expanse of green vegetation. That area is still developing. It can still
boast and boost with fresh air, serene environment away from the chaotic
madness of typical Lagos town. Im glad I
did. I went home but first I had to check on Onye Mama lol.

I had planned to attend House on the Rock Church today since
today's at my church will hold at the Surulere Stadium. I didn’t wake up on
time. Oh mehn not today. I got ready to go to House on the Rock Church. I went
to bus stop at the same time the Catholic Church at the bus stop just finished
one mass. They just flooded the bus stop, great! Now getting a bus will be
difficult. I waited for a while, it was no use. I checked two nearby churches,
I wasn’t impressed. I went back to waiting for a bus. Prior to going to the bus
stop, I had already called Caesar to find out if he was still at home so I can
go to his church with him. He didn’t pick the call. But God had a way of doing
his thing.
While I was slowly leaving the bus stop to check out a third church,
I had somebody shouting my name. He called several times before I heard it. He
wanted to withdraw some cash from the ATM and head to church. That was how I
went to his church with him. They had a guest preacher from Ghana named Koffi
Ampiah. He was something else. The service was full of resurrection. After
consuming such soul/spiritual buffet, they church served yet another buffé. The
meal was good. We went home with a plan to go swimming.
I had already planned
to visit my friend Uche Nwañu but I cancelled at the mention of swimming. I
have been craving to jealously treat myself to an all fun swimming session but
the stars won’t just align for it to happen. This is a perfect chance. The sun
is unbelievably hot at that. He invited one girl Ruth. We went to Orchid Hotel.
I had a helluva great time soaking my skin in that pool. I met one cute looking
Abigail, she is one helluva swimmer. We didn’t exchange numbers though, I just didn’t
take it that far.
The girl we went with, Ruth, she can’t swim. Surprisingly she
learnt so much on her first day of swimming. She's got admirable courage,
that's why she was able to overcome her fears and learn so much. She came to
the deepest part of the pool by holding unto the edge of the pool. I mean she
is brave. When we've had our splash to fullest, we went home very satisfied. I
hung out with a little more before heading home for the night.

I woke up a bit confused about what day it was just
because of the worker-in-training class of yesterday. I read my open heaven.
Read all the days I missed. I prayed and stayed glued to the bed. Oh yeah
today's Saturday and I’m supposed to run. I read a couple of emails about
rising cases of kidnapping in Lagos even in Lekki area and it kinda freaked me
out. One lady was nearly kidnapped during her early morning run right inside
Lekki phase 1!
I stayed on the bed and watched another Japanese anime called
Inuyasha. It was during this time that Ibe came in. He started playing a music
track of his. Then I just figured, he probably slept in the studio recording
that song. He was testing his handiwork. I have strictly minding my business in
the house, not really talking to anyone unless I absolutely have to. But I
always respond when they talk to me.
There was no food in the house. I know he
is hungry. I don’t hungry like that. I went to Igbo Efon, by the time I came
back he has an empty pot in the middle of the room and asleep. I guess he ate
chiki-chiki noodles. I went to Shoprite, bought food and food stuff. I went to
the office, ate the food and slept a little. I came back home and prepared
eliché with fish and corned beef. That was we ate that evening and in the night.
