Today is Good Friday for those of us who are Christians. Today is the day Jesus Christ was crucified over 2000 years ago. It’s also a public holiday in Nigeria. I love public holidays and bosses hate public holidays. Our worker-in-training class was moved Easter Sunday to Good Friday cuz there will be no regular church service at our parish this Easter Sunday. I prepared early today. I got there early. The session was refreshing. After the class I talked to pastor's wife regarding how I was dealing the untimely demise of dear and near friend a year ago. It was hard for me to forget cuz I felt like I abandoned her. And she sought to hear my voice even to the point of death. My pastor's wife counseled me. What she said was what I expected actually I just needed to talk to someone spiritual about it.

I felt easy share it with her cuz she reminded me alot about my literature teacher Mrs. Oyo back in secondary school. I enjoy the way she teaches. Mrs. Oyo made me fall in love with literature. She has legendary killer hips like Mrs. Oyo. She is fair complexioned like her. I went straight to eat at Onye Mama's place. It’s like my kitchen and the utensils are gathering dust and cobwebs, not much cooking activity goes on in there. That’s why I resort to eating outside. I went back to the house and had a good sleep. I was just like today is Sunday because of the worker-in-training class. Don’t know how long I slept but when I woke up, I went to the only cyber cafe in the area.

Their service is second to none in reverse. As expected, I couldn’t do anything useful as their connection went offline. I stayed a while waiting for them to fix it but in reality, I was just charging my phone. I went back home and slept some more. I didn’t go out again. All this time Ibe and his wife were out. Don’t know where they went to. Ibe came back dressed up and vamoosed. A little later the wife came back changed into another dress and vamoosed. I slept alone in the house.

I woke up really worried. I don’t even know how I slept. I got a call late evening yesterday that today is deadline for registration at Unilag. I don’t have the money. I had already written an appeal letter as advised by my course coordinator. It’s a freaking dicey situation. If I don’t register now and my appeal goes unapproved, I’m doomed. If I register and my appeal is approved, then I will lose the fees I paid. Fees I will borrow to pay. I told Hero earlier and he said he will give me N30000. I told Hero yesterday to transfer the money for the time has come.

I called Charles and he said he is broke but he wants to run around and raise N20000 for me. I went to work hoping for a miracle. Charles came through shortly as he said. My boss came in and paid me with a few thousands missing based on his promised increase. I told him of the shortage and his answer was like this is the amount now. His reply to my text sounded like he was going to give me N70000. He told me to ask Ifeanyi and Chris for the balance. Now I’m waiting for Hero. I called Alo he said the deposit has been made but it’s yet to reflect. Immediately I got the alert I set out to Unilag. My heart bleeds for this money that I’m going to sacrifice. I borrowed most of it, all because man's inhumanity to man. Im paying N106,000 because of one point/mark. Only God will judge Mr Ojikutu.

The bus stop was full and no buses, the two variables I don’t wanna deal with now. I waited for seemed like ages before I got a bus. Next was traffic, there's no escaping it. I went Gtbank to withdraw the money and I almost fainted. They’ve been having issue with their atm service for about 2 days now so they banking hall was crowded! Not today now! Time check 2:39pm, time is fast ticking away slowly. I had no choice. I had to join the queue and pray it moves fast. I mean the bank was crowded wall to wall, in and out. The queue is like game of snake on Nokia phone. The line crawled slowly till i cashed the N70,000.

As I was leaving I saw a course mate who had issue with the same course as me. But has different, a section of her answer script was not marked and she already scored 36. So once they mark it, she is through. We had a little chat which reopened my wounds regarding this MBA 804 issue. The school operated on a double standard. They waved up to two courses for some people who wrote the appeal earlier. It should set in black and white what they waive and do not waive. Some people who have just one course will be denied waiver because they appeal or didn’t appeal on time. What crap is that? The appeal itself takes awful lot of time. I don’t understand why it will take more a month to process an appeal. I am boxed up in my situation, its so unfair.

I went to Unilag and paid. I was misinformed on the late registration fee. I went to the wrong office, and the right office had already closed cuz it was past four o'clock. I saw Chris cruising down the boulevard of Unilag. Obviously he is after them chics. I called him, he gave me a ride to where I boarded a bus, we were heading different direction. I found my way to Obalende and once again the bus stop has no room to swing a cat. What is going on today? Buses are for some reason scarce. Once again I waited for ever to get a bus. I think I waited longer than ever. My leg aches from too much standing waiting for a bus.

While waiting on the centipede line for bus, I bought a bottle of la casera cream soda. My body waited for finishing before it started reacting funny. I decided not to drink it again. I don’t even know I drank it. Finally the bus came. All of a sudden more buses arrived. Where the hell have they all been? I got a space in the bus. As usual we went through the torture of time killing traffic.

I went straight home. I stopped at Doc's shop though he traveled to east. I gave Austin a glo internet modem I promised him. I went straight to Onye Mama's joint to mark dinner register. After the deeply filling and satisfying meal, I waltzed home. I showered and stayed outside for a while for the sea breeze. I just love the sea breeze.

I woke early just lazed on the bed. My mind busy with thoughts like a grand prix race. I need to start doing things differently to arrive at a different desirable destination with regards to my present level of achievement. As for my all months visitors, I’m just letting sleeping dogs lie. Is it a good or bad decision, I don’t know. Sometimes I ask God, is this a test? Am I wrong for doing right? Is it a curse that Im blessed with gentle personality? I read my devotional.

I showered and left for work. I stumbled onto one chic I know from way back. Way back when she was wayward, really wayward. She looked different. She looked responsible. She is married. Has a child. Drives a car. Owns a shop in the plaza I went to by something. This world is a funny place. It’s amazing how someone's fortune can change immensely. We greeted and I left for work. On my way to the office, my boss sent me a text, asking why I come late to work these days. I didn’t reply. I got to the office and he was in one of his office-rearrangement mode. We haven’t rearranged our office in a long time.

First we went out to buy a big white board did a few changes here and there. When I came back I left with a carpenter to Akoka and the Tejuosho market. He is refurbishing the cushions in the office. What a pain for me. I cut a key for Chris so he wont have to wait for any of us. I had my doubt when I saw the key. Well I have been cutting keys before and they look exact but none has ever failed me. I headed back to the office via public bus. We were a couple of feets above the lagoon on third mainland bridge when the tire back tire exploded. I have not experienced this in a long time. One chic at the back screamed  'Jesus'. Probably the only 'Jesus' and only exclamation. She went on to yell at the driver not to match the brake! The driver wasn’t on top speed neither were there much traffic on the bridge.

Her screaming started getting annoying, one passenger had to ask her to calm down the driver is not stepping the brakes. The driver just coasting to a safe stop. The lady was so scared, she couldn’t admire the beauty of the lagoon like everyone else did. We switched buses. I branched at Shoprite to get lunch even though a text from my boss said they have lunch for me. You can’t be too careful you know. There was lunch for me alright, nothing wrong with having extra. I tasted the key and jackpot! It didn’t work. That's a first. I tried it several times, it was no use. I threw the damned thing away.

I’m up early. Maybe I will go to work early too. I’m still waiting for Aero, Interswitch and Gtbank to reverse the transaction that failed deliver service but succeeded in taking money. I want to write them again. Aero staff has been on strike now, could it be the cause of the delay?

This couple has started piling candle wax on the speaker shelf again. What is it with these people and their despicable tendencies to mess the aesthetics of their environment. It’s so annoyingly amazing how they are comfortable with the eyesore. It gets under my skin. And they say they are not comfortable enough, I can agree to an extent. But I also can’t help but wonder how dirty, messy, filthy, aesthetically tarnished the place will be if they were ‘‘comfortable’’ enough.

I went to work. Again nothing much to do. I went to Access Bank to rectify a transaction issue. We believed we left N189000 with the cashier to deposit in a new account that was being opened. Since the account number was not yet assigned and my boss was in a mad rush as usual, he was just hurrying the process by leaving the money with the bank to deposit once the account is active. The cashier even filled out the teller for him. So when the deposit alert came it was N181000. Howcome? We left N189000, what happened to N8000? A tough situation I might add. They was no proof of giving the bank that amount. The bank did its investigation and trust the staff involved for meticulous work ethics. We on other hand was certain of the amount. Obviously there's a mistake somewhere but where is it? My boss they must give him his N8000.

On my way back to the office I bought spicy porridge yam and fried sweet potato from Shoprite plus a bottle of fanta. I need it. Earlier in the morning I went out with the driver to pick a few items for the office, Ify came in with domino pizza. They devoured it without remembering me. When I was eating my lunch my boss complained about I bought lunch for just myself not giving about the rest. In my mind I was like, do you really wanna go there?

Finally the staff involved paid the money. My boss later asked her to take back her money. He just wanted them to take responsibility, that a customer's money disappear without the person/s involved not paying for it

Sometimes, inventions are dull and sometimes, inventions are complete head-scratchers. The seat-belt t-shirt is, quite simply, a white t-shirt that features a black strap running diagonally across the chest. It's meant to fool police and road safety officers into thinking that the driver is wearing a seat-belt.

This is so convincingly looking like the driver put on his seat-belt. Seat-belts are meant to save ones life while will go to great lengths to avoid putting it on?

I’m alive. I’m awake. I’m well. I read the open heaven, I read from the backlog of two days I skipped. I still have two days remaining to clear it. I went to work with a special beam. Beam for success. Beam of success. The day flew by quickly, somehow I didn't capture much.

I went to Onye Mama's restaurant to fill my stomach. She does great cooking. And she is making mad money milking many customers. I saw Obinna there. He asked me to pay for him which I did. I got home and Ibe came in immediately behind me. He came with his clothes that has been on the line for almost 4 days now! It has dried up since but the rain rewashed it for him. Talk about being lazy to do simple chores, he is the master.

I’m still minding my business, not talking to anyone unless I really have to. I always respond if any of them asks me something or needs my help. There was no food like I expected but that doesn’t mean they didn’t eaten something just like me.

I woke up early for church cuz I got workers-in-progress class at 7:00am. Today is palm Sunday by the way. Went to church early and was on time for the class. It was very interactive. Part of the lesson was restitution. There was something bothering that I wanted to ask but couldn’t. It was too personal to share in the class I guess. Or maybe it’s not really restitution related. I said I will as the assistant pastor privately. I hope I’m not populating the list of things I let lie fallow in the limbo things I wanna discuss with a true pastor. Service was also uplifting. There was youth and singles meeting after service, I couldn’t wait cuz I was expecting a visitor.

After service I went straight to restaurant to eat. I met Obi the wine dealer on my way and we had a chit chat. It kinda delayed me a little. The cloud starting turning so I had to cut the chit chat short. I found my way to the restaurant eventually. Immediately I started eating heaven lifted restraining order on rain and it just fell in its fullness. Instantly everywhere was flooded, trust Lagos and its flood issue. I took my time with the food. The kid I met at the restaurant really served me a large portion, I’m sure his madam would served something smaller that will make me wanna buy extra lol. Hey kid, I thank you specially, it’s like you know the feelings of my tommy. I finished my food which was deeply filling. I can’t say much about the taste. Sometimes you get so hungry that your taste buds malfunctions and starts hallucinating.

I played Asphalt 6 on my phone to pass the time while I sit out the rain. Wondering, will this stop my visitor from coming? The sky finally finished bathing this portion of earth's surface. I walked home. I had a good sleep before my guest arrived. We played catch up and also talked about good old days. Ibe and his wife were around. They didn’t seem to have gone out today at all. I saw my guest off around four o'clock. I couldn’t make call on my phone. MTN must be having some technical issues. I had like N490 call credit and the thing kept telling me 'your account is too low for this call...'.
